A few moons have passed since Aegon's second name day.
Daemon had visited the Keep, offering his supposed crown to Viserys. But he then left shortly after; tensions rose between him and the council members.
In the meantime, Aegon managed to get close to Rhaenyra, trying his hardest to bridge the gap between her and his mother, and in the process, he grew fond of her.
But he spent most of the time with Alicent; she was in her final months of pregnancy and, in fact, delivering her child today!
...
Aegon sat in a room, his eyes wandering around as he clenched his fists. Beside him was his sister, glancing at him and checking on him once in a while.
Just then,
"Aaahn!"
A loud scream echoed from outside, causing Aegon to jerk in worry, causing Rhaenyra to place her hand on his. "There's no need to worry, Aegon." She whispered to him.
"Mhmm," Aegon mumbled, relaxing a little, yet the tension never left his face.
Aegon actually wanted to be in the delivery room, although he knew nothing would happen to his mom or his sister; he was afraid that his reincarnating might have changed somethings.
But no one agreed to it, not even Alicent. He was still a child.
But Rhaenyra, noticing just how worried he was, convinced Viserys to let him stay in the adjacent room with her accompanying him.
"Aaahn!"
Alicent's moans echoed again, causing him to tense once more, 'Nothing is going to happen to them!' he mumbled inwardly.
It was nerve-wracking for him! His heartbeat was off the roof while his mind ached with worry, causing his eyes to tint red.
"It's okay, Aegon…" Rhaenyra whispered, hugging her brother, "It's okay…."
Aegon pressed his lips; he knew he was overreacting and needed to calm down. "Okay…" he muttered as he took a deep breath, slowly calming himself down, but
"Aaahn!"
His mother's screams weren't helping.

.
.
Soon, an hour passed, and Aegon was now sitting stiffly, his back straight as an arrow with his butt clenched.
He had a blush on his cheeks while purple eyes flickered with embarrassment.
Beside him, Rhaenyra too had become stiff with a slight redness in her cheeks. She was surprised… surprised by her friend's exclamations of pain.
"Fuck! It hurts! It hurts so fucking much!!"
Alicent's screams had surprised everyone. Was this actually the ever graceful queen?
But it wasn't a one-time thing, no! It continued, each more unqueenly than the last until everything stopped.
BADUMP
Aegon had now turned angst; his heart was beating against his chest as he writhed in his seat, uncomfortable with the unbearable silence.
'I don't care anymore! I have to see them!' he exclaimed inwardly, deciding. And just as he was about to jump off the chair and run towards the door, the door itself opened and a maid walked in.
CLICK
She bowed to the two Targaryens and said, "The Queen and the babe are healthy, Your Graces!"
""Haaah!""
Aegon and Rhaenyra both heaved a sigh of relief as they slumped against their chairs for a moment.
But Aegon soon jumped off the chair, turning to the maid, "Aegon, see mama and baby?!" He asked.
"Of course, prince. In fact, Her Grace has sent me to bring you to her," she replied with a bright smile on her face.
"Then, go!" Aegon yelled, running towards the door, followed by Rhaenyra, who was shaking her head.
They both entered the main room, a hint of iron still lingering in the air.
A few maids walked here and there, carrying clothes, towels and sheets while a maester sat in the corner, recording the birth of a new Targaryen.
But Aegon ignored them, "Mama!" he yelled as he ran towards a large bed in the middle of the room, upon which lay his mother, exhausted from giving birth.
Slicent glanced towards her son, who was now climbing to the top of the bed, causing a weak smile to bloom on her tired face.
"Mama, okay?" Aegon asked as he sat beside her, taking her hand.
"Yes, sweet child. I am okay," Alicent replied; a warm feeling crept into her heart, sweeping away her tiredness.
Alicent then looked at the other figure who walked into the room, only to be mildly surprised to see her friend Rhaenyra.
"How are you…?" Rhaenyra asked, a little hesitant around the edges.
"I'm fine," the Queen replied, "but the maester said that the baby and I need some rest."
Just then, a maid walked towards them, holding something in her arms, wrapped in a
soft towel.
She then handed it to Alicent, whispering, "The princess is healthy, Your Grace."
"Is it a girl?" Rhaenyra asked, tilting her head, a little surprised that it was a girl, but also a little happy.
"Yeah," Alicent said as she removed the towel around her daughter, who was now sleeping, "I hope she grows to be as beautiful as you!"
BADUMP
Rhaenyra's eyes went wide at her friend's words, her heart thumped against her chest while a blush crept up her cheeks, "O-Of course," she stuttered, "she's a Targaryen after all!"
CHUCKLE
Alicent chuckled at her friend, causing Rhaenyra's blush to deepen while she turned to her son.
"What do you think, Aegon?" she asked, leaning closer to her son, showing his sister to him.
The baby had a small patch of silver-white hair on her head, her cheeks full and chubby while she clenched her tiny fists tightly, peacefully sleeping.
"She's cute!" Aegon exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with fascination as he glanced at her.
Alicent laughed at her son's words; she kissed him on his forehead while Rhaenyra sat on the edge of the bed and asked, "Have you decided on a name yet?"
"Yes," Alicent said as she nodded in reply. Turning to her daughter, she smiled softly and said,
"Her name is Helaena!"
