Rayne handed the fishing pole back to him, giving him another chance to try.
Julian took the pole and, with great determination, cast it out once again. The lure plopped into the water directly in the center of the river.
Rayne watched with excitement, hoping that he would finally be able to catch something after all of this time and effort.
They both stared at the water's surface, waiting for a fish to take the bait. However, even after almost ten minutes, there was still no activity.
Julian tried casting out a few more times, but each time nothing happened.
Rayne noticed how disappointment began to show on his face. She felt bad and jumped up and hugged him from behind.
"Whoa", Julian smiled. He was slightly startled from her hug, but as soon as she wrapped her arms around him, he felt the line of his fishing pole tug.
"I've got a bite!" he shouted and jerked his fishing pole backwards.
