"Grandpa!"
Claudius grinned at Kael. "My boy, how are you doing?" he asked, ruffling Kael's hair as the child stood up from the ground and walked towards him.
Kael nodded seriously, like a grown man. "I'm fine. Handsome and loyal to Grandpa as always, but your son burned one of our portraits for fun," he added, clearly trying to start trouble with his uncle.
Eros shot a glare at his mischievous nephew.
Meanwhile, Mirabella stood frozen. She had been too caught up in the joy of reuniting with her crew to notice the new arrivals. But now that she did, her gaze landed on a woman in tribal dress and a man whose very presence radiated danger.
More than that, Mirabella was shaken by the uncanny resemblance the man bore to the king. A suspicion formed in her mind, and she nervously glanced at Eros, who simply shook his head and waved a dismissive hand at the man as if to say he doesn't matter at all.
