The next morning, Bonnie woke up feeling nauseous from morning sickness. The moment she opened her eyes, she instinctively tried to get up and rush to the bathroom, only to find herself tightly bound by something, making it difficult to move.
Turning her head slightly, she met the worried gaze of the man beside her.
"What's wrong, Bonnie?"
She had no time to question why he was in her room. Shooting him a glare, she quickly got out of bed. James, looking tense, followed her into the bathroom. Watching her lean over and retch in discomfort, he frowned in distress, stepping forward to hold her gently, rubbing her back soothingly while murmuring her name over and over again.
"Bonnie... Bonnie..."
He had never realized how much suffering came with carrying a child. If he had known it would be like this, he would never have selfishly given her this baby. She hadn't wanted it to begin with, and now, on top of that, she had to endure such torment. She must feel awful.
