Shen Heyu didn't take his words to heart.
She thought he couldn't possibly do such a thing.
Pei Yansi didn't hurry to prove himself and only held her tightly without saying more.
Both were incredibly silent that night,
as if in anticipation of that impending farewell.
The next morning, Shen Heyu woke up early.
Outside, the sky wasn't fully bright yet, only layered with a dim blue glow—the color of the sky just before dawn.
Sounds were already coming from the living room.
Shen Heyu turned her head and saw that Pei Yansi was no longer by her side.
She got out of bed.
It was actually still very early, but she wanted to see what Pei Yansi was doing.
Dressed only in her winter pajamas, she opened the bedroom door and saw the male lead busy in the kitchen of the presidential suite.
He seemed to have heard her stirring as well.
He turned his head towards Shen Heyu, a faint smile hanging on his lips, "Up this early?"
He was making breakfast for her.
