"I save the world, and what do I get in return? I can't even decide not to wear this stupid thing," Jacob grumbled, fidgeting with the sash-like ribbon wrapped around his neck. As if the suit wasn't uncomfortable enough, the addition of this ceremonial accessory made it even worse. The ornate suit was in his usual deep shade of navy, sharply tailored to fit his form, but Jacob believed he would never get used to such formal and impractical attire.
Seraphina stepped closer, a soft smile playing on her lips as she swatted his hands away. "Stop acting like a child," she chided lightly, her green eyes sparkling with amusement. Standing directly in front of him, she expertly adjusted the sash, smoothing it into its proper place. "You're marrying the princess of the kingdom. The least you can do is not embarrass her by looking like you've just rolled out of bed."
