Chapter 403 - Chapter 403: Pervert? Blue Cosmos?

On the night the Atlantic Federation arrived, the two did not engage in anything excessive.

"Your robot is waterproof too."

Serena pulled He Kui out of the bathroom, a slight smile at the corner of her mouth.

"Yeah, that's a basic function, right?"

"Are you satisfied~?"

"Hmph~"

Serena let out a noncommittal hum.

Just a moment ago, the two had been having a great time in the bathroom. It was evident that although Serena was engrossed in her research, she still had needs, which were just being suppressed.

As they stepped out of the bathroom, He Kui was still warming up the Mobile Suit, droplets of water dripping from it, while simultaneously taking out a Little Bird, which he quickly launched into the air.

"What are you doing?"

"Surveillance. You felt that person's gaze too, right?"

"Yeah, but they wouldn't dare to act recklessly here, would they?"

Serena pursed her lips and said. This was DSSD; if they acted openly, the public opinion and pressure from various funding countries would come down on them.

"What do they have to be afraid of?"

He Kui shrugged and continued.

"Not to mention, Serena is so beautiful."

"Only you would say that. Even if they came, it would just be to interrogate me about my new research."

Serena said, her cheeks flushed, annoyed.

As they spoke, He Kui's Little Bird had already flown outside the guest room.

The night had deepened a bit more, though that was just a description; there was no night in space. According to the synchronized time within DSSD and the Atlantic Federation, it was already close to midnight.

Outside Serena's door, a man was standing.

He quickly connected a device to the door, and as the sinister smile on his face grew more manic with the progress bar, the door showed no reaction after the intrusion attempt.

No error message, and no success.

"How is this possible?!"

Just as the man thought about trying again, he suddenly felt a slight sting in his neck.

"Are there mosquitoes in space?"

This thought had just crossed the man's mind when he collapsed.

Immediately after, the door that the man had been fixated on finally opened.

Serena stepped out and frowned at the man who was sprawled on the ground.

"You didn't kill him, did you?"

"No, just a tranquilizer."

He Kui recalled the Little Bird that was now standing on the man.

"Your Little Bird is quite powerful."

Thinking about how this Little Bird had not only eavesdropped on all of the man's plans but could also take down an adult, Serena's eyes began to shine with excitement.

"This Little Bird can only be made by an S-class."

He Kui explained.

"I know~!"

After all, it was something that could save their lives at a critical moment, so Serena had no intention of pressing He Kui for more details.

She simply turned her gaze back to the man lying unconscious on the ground and the intrusion device next to him.

"I didn't expect Blue Cosmos to even have Quantum Virus."

"Not surprising."

He Kui shook his head.

Although this was a Quantum Virus, their data storage room was on an independent server. Even if there was a Quantum Virus, it would need to breach multiple security levels to reach the main server, and DSSD's firewall had actually been upgraded after the appearance of the Quantum Virus.

So this man had switched targets.

He attempted to control Serena to achieve his own goals.

But it was clear that he had failed.

"What should we do with this person?"

Serena looked at the unconscious man, troubled.

"Hand him over to your father?"

"My dad has been away lately, raising funds in East Asia."

Serena said, feeling a headache coming on.

"Just take him and the Quantum Virus to protest to the Atlantic Federation."

"You might get some benefits."

He Kui suggested.

"But what if they don't acknowledge it?"

"I have a way."

He Kui smiled mysteriously at Serena.

After making preparations, Serena quickly called the guards to drag the man away while also waking up the old man who had been pretending to sleep in the room.

"I wonder what brings Miss Serena to find me at such a late hour?"

At this moment, the old man appeared calm, but his mind was in turmoil.

He was aware of the man's intentions.

However, Serena was still here, but his people had vanished. What had happened? He had checked the locks here; they shouldn't be able to stop a Quantum Virus.

Thinking that he might be discovered, the old man felt a wave of confusion.

Although he could shift the blame, DSSD would definitely be more vigilant towards the Atlantic Federation.

Those excuses might work on ordinary people, but trying to deceive DSSD would be like trying to hide something in plain sight.

"I'm sorry to disturb Mr. Safin's rest, but we have captured a gentleman."

At Serena's gesture, several guards threw the still unconscious man into the center of the conference room.

They threw him down quite heavily.

After all, in a sense, Serena was the princess of DSSD. Did they really think they could break into her room?

If it weren't for Serena not allowing them to hit anyone, this man would have already been beaten to a pulp.

"This gentleman was outside my room, holding a device containing Quantum Virus connected to my door."

Serena's face was consistently cold.

Her tone was calm, as if she were discussing something profound.

And to the old man, it indeed seemed that way.

Serena's words were accurate, but the problem was why the door hadn't opened, and why the man was now sprawled on the ground like a dead pig.

If it weren't for the crowd, the old man would have definitely gone up to wake the man and ask what had happened.

But no matter how one looked at it, DSSD was not as simple as it appeared.

The old man cleared his throat lightly.

"Miss Serena, this person just started working as my guard today, and I am not familiar with him."

"However, I often hear him say things admiring Miss Serena, so perhaps he just got the wrong idea."

What the old man wanted to say was self-evident; he wasn't even talking about Blue Cosmos, just a 'pervert' who had 'misunderstood.'

Upon hearing this, Serena and He Kui exchanged glances.

This line of reasoning was just as they had thought before.

DSSD did not have the authority to enforce the law, but if the old man took this person back to the Atlantic Federation for trial, it would be little different from letting him go.

As the two were speaking, the man who had been sleeping finally woke up, but as soon as he opened his eyes and saw the crowd in front of him, it was as if he had received a huge shock.

"I am Blue Cosmos, I am Blue Cosmos, it was all Mr. Safin's orders! Please, don't kill me!"

With the man's terrified words, everyone present turned to look at Safin.

"It seems Mr. Solari does not think so."

"What have you done to him?!"

Seeing the situation turn unfavorable, the old man took the initiative to question.

"Why has he lost his sanity?!"

"We didn't do anything; it's probably just a side effect of the tranquilizer."

"Mr. Safin knows that we have quite a few experimental drugs here, and in a moment of urgency, we had no choice."

As Serena spoke, the man's eyes gradually became clearer.

"Mr. Safin?"

It seemed he was still trying to process what was happening. The man looked around in confusion, and when he saw Serena, his expression began to change again, but this time it was fear.

As a member of a special operations team, he had no idea what had happened before he lost consciousness.

Moreover, what he had just said was enough to get him killed several times over in Blue Cosmos.

"The words of Mr. Solari will be submitted as a reference for the next joint meeting."

Serena showed no mercy, her gaze indifferent.

Although they had no real power, other funding countries would not let go of such an attack point, and they could even restrict their access to the DSSD space station.
