The meeting of three factions.
When this meeting was held, similar to the original, it was held at the Kuoh Academy where everything began, and where all the problems arose, yet unlike in the original, the scale of this meeting was much, much larger since each of the forces, whether it was the angels, the fallen angels, or the devils, brought their own army to this meeting.
In the original, the one that came was only the representative of the angel, the fallen angel, and the devil, leaving only a few bodyguards that couldn't be relied on during the crisis.
Naturally, as the host, Masa came first and waited at Sona's student council room as the others looked at the army that he had brought from the Underworld.
"There are so many devils and lion creatures..."
"Amazing..."
"Compared to Onii-sama..."
All of those who were related to devils were just in a daze when they saw Masa's power and authority to call an army to help at this meeting, especially Rias, as she had never seen her older brother use an army to help him.
Yes, the power of an individual was good, and something that one could only rely on in the world of the supernatural.
However, in certain situations, having the power of quantity, having a lot of power under, would bring another effect, especially in this type of meeting, where enemies met each other to make a conclusion about something.
Except for those at the top, no one expected that a devil, an angel, or even a fallen angel to be at peace, so when Masa showed his might, the scene was just too otherworldly.
Some were strong; some were fierce; some were alone; some were in a group; various, many types of devils and feline type of creatures gathered together under his order, ready to welcome those angels and fallen angels.
"I'm afraid they'll think we're going to go to war," Serafall said helplessly.
"After what had happened before, it would be too stupid if we took care ourselves too carelessly."
Frankly, when the story of DxD started, Masa even wondered why it had been the protagonist and the heroines who dealt with all the problems and fought the enemies instead of having their own armies to handle those shitty enemies.
While the loss of the devils, as they might die if they fought the enemies, considering the protagonist and his group, wouldn't die no matter what when they fought the antagonist, Masa still felt that the way for those adults to take care of many problems that happened was just too careless.
Rather, in this city, Kuoh City, Sona and Rias had to move themselves to take care of the stray devils despite their status and faced the enemy and dangerous situations on their own instead of their family sending help and armies to support them.
It was as if all of them believed that no one would hurt Sona and Rias even though in the original, they had faced many dangerous situations.
However, Masa didn't do that. Instead, he showed the power of his army to intimidate everyone. He was like a certain superpower country, which had many military bases in various parts of the world to show not only its prestige but also take care of problems by sending bomber jets or others when the situation arose.
In other words, showing his power in the beginning helped him to take care of various other problems that might arise afterward.
Then again, in the world of the supernatural, the power of quantity was also quite meaningless, especially when the power of an individual could sometimes change the entire course of the war, similar to the reason why the Great King Faction could become the victor of the Devil Civil War hundreds years ago due to the existence of Ajuka and Sirzech.
"Moreover, if this meeting is a real meeting, then it is good, but if it's just an attempt for the fallen angel to make a move on the devil, then with this army, we can prepare ourselves."
His answer made all of them agree with his decision, thinking that he was as stable as ever.
"Masa-sama, do you need me to call my Bishop?"
"Bishop?"
"Yes." Rias hesitated since the meeting was about to start, yet she only mentioned her bishop, who had a unique power that could become a great support in the war. "She, no, he, has a Sacred Gear that allows him to stop time." Unlike Issei, who had lost his power, this bishop's power was also on another level, especially when he could stop time.
"She or he?"
Masa was confused, but Rias hesitated for a moment, then said, "He is a boy, but he loves to wear a girl outfit."
"..." Everyone.
"Oh, he is also a shut-in and has a social anxiety disorder."
"...." Everyone.
"...where does he stay?"
"Ah, it's in this room." Rias pointed at a room on the top of the school blueprint that Masa had opened on the table.
"Okay." Masa nodded. "Just leave him over there. If something happens, I can pick him up later."
A time stop.
If the enemy somehow took over this boy, who had a hobby of wearing female clothing, then Masa knew that their situation would be passive, but then again, it shouldn't be much of a problem, especially when the power of Yami Yami no Mi could mostly handle everything.
Still, as he thought so, he heard an announcement.
"The angels and the fallen angels have come!"
Yet, even so, none of their expressions changed, especially when they felt secure under his army.
On the other hand, the angels and the fallen angels, along with all of their bodyguards, who came along with their representatives, Michael and Baraqiel, felt tense, especially when they saw how serious the devil's side was, as they even brought an entire battalion to protect this meeting.
"Michael-sama!" 2x
The young women with tight battle outfits were tense, afraid that the devil might attack them all of a sudden by surrounding them since, while they didn't want to admit it, they didn't think the angels and their powers were enough to fight against the army of devils that were brought by Masa.
"We have to go to this meeting, or else we will be seen as weak."
Yet, Michael was calm. "Moreover, this demonstration also shows that something serious happened to the devil's side a few days ago, and their leader thought that it was necessary to bring an army to handle this problem, so no matter how difficult it is, we have to go, or else, we will remain clueless about this enemy, who is hiding behind the dark." He then looked at the most beautiful woman, who appeared so holy, by his side. "Gabriel, you should be prepared to later."
"Yes, Michael." Gabriel nodded softly, but the worries of the two exorcists that were brought by Michael hadn't changed since—
"But... what if they attacked us?"
The one who asked this question wasn't the two exorcists who were brought by Michael, but the handsome young man who was brought by Baraqiel.
"We have even more to go, so the misunderstanding between us won't deepen, Tobio."
Tobio Ikuse.
Usually, it would be a certain young man that would be brought to this meeting, but Baraqiel decided to bring Tobio Ikuse with him since not only was Tobio calmer and reliable, but at the same time, they had a certain family connection as Tobio came from his deceased wife's family.
"But you did the right thing to bring me here instead of Vali, Governor." Tobio felt tense, especially when many strong feline-type creatures stared at him creepily.
"Woof!"
The little black dog on his hands wanted to scare those creatures, but Tobio quickly calmed it down since he didn't want a misunderstanding to happen. After all, if a war really happened during this meeting, then the fallen angel, who lacked preparation, would be hurt greatly, and if they wanted to stay alive, they could only rely on the angel, who also did the same as them.
"Benemune, you should be prepared, too, during the meeting."
"I know Baraqiel." Benemune pushed the frame of her glasses and then looked at Baraqiel calmly. "If you can't control your emotions, then I will handle the rest."
"Thanks."
Unlike the others, Benemune was clear about Baraqiel's weakness, which was held by the devil.
"But if the situation is forced, then you don't have to worry about anything."
"Baraqiel..."
"Governor..."
Baraqiel's solemn attitude told them that even if a certain price had to be paid for the future of the fallen angel, he would do it, including sacrificing his daughter, which made them so much in pain.
"..." Akeno.
Meanwhile, in the distance, a handsome young man with silvery hair stared into the distance, focusing on Masa's army until someone called him.
"Vali, come on. It's about to start."
"Okay."
This decision of his might have disappointed those who had trusted in him, but even so, he didn't feel regret since he knew this was the only path that he could choose, especially when unlike Azazel, the previous leader of the Grigori, who trusted him much, the others didn't have much of a trust toward him, which made him lack an affection or care toward the Grigori.
Meanwhile, inside the meeting room where everything would begin, all of them met Masa for the first time.
"Welcome to Kuoh."
Masa might not show hostility, yet their instinct told them clearly that this being was far, far more dangerous than Sirzech, Lucifer, and every other devil combined.
Yet, what they didn't know, or they didn't notice, was that the eyes of Baraqiel and Michael were full of respect toward him.
However, for those who were outside, they didn't know anything and only thought their chance had come!
