"Look at that, Ms. Sutton is here. I almost thought this busy woman was going to be late."
The words were yet out of his mouth when the judge snorted, properly balancing his glasses on his nose.
"Busy? Please! She's not the only one who is busy. If you didn't beg me this morning to pitch you in today, this hearing wouldn't be going on anytime soon."
Bryan didn't bother to hide his mockery as he laughed.
Folding his hands across his chest, he sat up properly and sucked his teeth in though.
"Now that I think of it, this hearing should've happened sooner. That way, Ms. Sutton here would've long learned her place."
Jane threw her bag on the table and spurned around to look at him stoically, "Mr. Baker, I'd ask that you don't address my client directly. If you have something to say to her, say it to me."
Bryan couldn't defend himself nor did he want to admit he was wrong, so his lawyers quickly changed the subject by snickering.
