Tiel looked at his wife and thought she looked so beautiful. She was asleep against a pile of pillows, her eyes closed, her arms holding her blanket against her chest. Her black hair, the beautiful wave of it, fell over her shoulder, spilling like black ink on the perfumed fabric.
Tiel sat carefully beside her, having just come back after working as fast as he could, catching up on all the work he had neglected over the course of two weeks. All the while, thankful that his newlywed wife was understanding.
He wanted to wake her, but for a moment he just sat there watching his beautiful wife. In her sleep, he noticed she was dreaming of something—a tear fell from her closed eyes, and her lips whispered words he couldn't decipher.
Tiel leaned in to listen. "...no... Tiel... don't go... please..."
