"Yes, You're not dead yet"
Gu Chuan nodded.
As soon as he finished speaking, he lightly pointed his finger, touching the bodies of the ten little Golden Crows.
Immediately, ten wisps of Good Fortune Aura flowed into their bodies. Their injuries began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye, and in just a moment, they fully recovered.
The benefits of these Good Fortune Auras were tremendous.
After all, Gu Chuan was the Medium Lord of the Universe, having mastered the power of eight thousand Samsara. Even though only a clone of his had appeared here, its strength surpassed all beings within the Chaos Universe. Just a single wisp of his aura contained energy far beyond what ordinary gods could imagine.
For the ten Golden Crows, this was an unprecedented opportunity—an eternal blessing.
Clatter—
Their power soared. The ten little Golden Crows experienced an explosive surge in their Cultivation Base, and the divine blood within them began to boil and expand.
Boom—
In the next second, the ten Golden Crows transformed into ten little girls, each one carved from jade, with large sparkling eyes filled with curiosity as they looked around.
Ordinarily, if a prehistoric creature such as a Golden Crow wished to take on human form, they would need to reach at least the Celestial Immortal Realm, which would require countless years of cultivation.
Yet with Gu Chuan's help, they skipped all of that. In a single night, they attained human form—an evolution that came with immense benefits.
The Good Fortune Aura he bestowed upon them had not only healed their wounds but also elevated the purity of the Golden Crow bloodline within them.
"They're actually girls?"
Gu Chuan blinked in surprise. He hadn't paid close attention to their life essence before, and had never considered their genders.
After all, why would a transcendent being like him care about such mundane details? To him, these little Golden Crows were no different than ants to humans—nobody bothers to check if an ant is male or female.
He had only saved them because he thought it would be a waste for such ancient lifeforms to perish at the hands of an evil god.
But in the Chaos Universe, gender was of little consequence. There were countless powerful goddesses, their numbers rivaling those of the male gods.
"Haha! I knew we weren't dead yet!"
"We're the Golden Crow princesses! How could we die so easily?!"
"Oh my god, we really transformed! The emperor once said it would take forever!"
"We're clearly peerless geniuses!"
"What was that energy? It felt like it evolved us!"
"And this place—it looks even better than our Sun Palace!"
"Wow! Look! There are so many magic herbs planted here. We're rich! We're gonna be rich!"
The ten Golden Crow girls chirped joyfully, fully recovered and reveling in their newfound human forms. They had completely forgotten the life-or-death crisis they were just in.
Upon seeing the many miraculous herbs growing nearby, their eyes sparkled with greed. They looked like they were about to pounce and devour everything in sight.
In the Sun Palace, they had already consumed who knows how many herbs from the imperial medicine garden. As the Golden Crow princesses, no demon dared to say a word against them.
"Alright, you little rascals, don't go ruining the precious herbs in my garden."
Gu Chuan said helplessly.
Honestly, these little brats were troublesome. The way they were eyeing the massive Tai Chi Ginseng, ready to gnaw it like a carrot, made him shake his head.
With a wave of his hand, he froze the ten Golden Crow girls in place, laying them before him.
"Sorry! Please let us go!"
"That's right! Our father is Donghuang Taiyi, the Heavenly Emperor of the Monster Race. He's very rich!"
"We can steal all the treasures in the palace and give them to you as compensation!"
The ten Golden Crow girls looked up at Gu Chuan, the mysterious Daoist, with teary puppy eyes, trying to appeal to him with their impressive background and promises of wealth.
"Compensation? Even if you brought me your father's entire fortune, it wouldn't be enough to pay for that carrot."
Gu Chuan said, clearly annoyed. "In short, you're staying here. No running around."
"Staying here?! Can't we go home now?"
The girls immediately cried out. They missed home and regretted sneaking out.
"Don't even think about it. You can't return just yet. You'll be staying here for a while."
After all, Gu Chuan still needed to initiate the Catastrophe of the Lich. He couldn't let the ten Golden Crow girls go home just yet.
"But before that... I need to take care of a small problem."
He reached out and grasped the void.
Boom!
A cloud of black mist erupted from the body of one of the girls. It gave off an eerie, sinister aura—the presence of a terrifying evil god.
"What?!"
The ten Golden Crow girls were stunned. None of them had noticed anything wrong with their bodies before.
"Damn you, Chaos City Lord! How did you detect my presence?!"
The black mist roared.
"Shouldn't I be the one asking that?" Gu Chuan smiled faintly. "What made you think I wouldn't notice you?"
The black mist paused. It had no response. This was the most powerful being in the Chaos Universe—of course he would detect its presence.
"Chaos City Lord, just how much do you know? What exactly are you planning?"
It shivered. Gu Chuan was far too mysterious, his motives unfathomable. No one truly knew what he was thinking.
To the evil gods, Gu Chuan had always been the greatest threat.
"I know everything," Gu Chuan replied flatly.
"Damn it…"
The black mist's form trembled. That simple sentence struck fear into its core.
That meant everything—their entire plan—had always been within Gu Chuan's grasp. Every move they made was likely being watched.
And yet, he never intervened. The evil gods thought they were weaving a grand scheme to ensnare all deities, but in truth, Gu Chuan had already woven an even greater net—waiting patiently for them to walk right into it.
The black mist immediately tried to flee, desperate to relay this information to the other evil gods. If they didn't act quickly, they'd be annihilated.
"Trying to run?"
Gu Chuan chuckled. "You think you can escape from here? Not even you, a little evil god. Even if it were the Doomsday Gostrueque, escape would be impossible."
