Chapter 506 - Chapter 506: The Wrath of the Great Wu Race, Kuafu Chases the Suns!

At this time, the deaths of countless ordinary members of the Wu Race had ignited the fury of the Great Wu.

Many Great Wu had gathered for an emergency meeting.

"Damn it, we can't go on like this! We must kill those ten suns in the sky! If this continues, our Wu Race will suffer catastrophic losses. I can't even imagine how many more will die from the scorching heat."

One Great Wu roared in anger, clenching his fists tightly. His fury was uncontrollable.

They had been living peacefully—until suddenly, ten suns appeared in the sky, raising the temperature to unbearable levels and drastically altering the world's environment.

While such changes posed little threat to the Great Wu, they were utterly devastating to ordinary members of the Wu Race, causing countless deaths and injuries.

If only the Great Wu remained while the ordinary members perished, then the Wu Race as a whole would be doomed. It was their duty to protect their people.

"How are we supposed to kill them?" another Great Wu said helplessly. "Those ten suns float high in the heavens, and we Wu do not cultivate supernatural powers or primordial spirits. Unless one reaches the Immemorial Golden Immortal realm, it's nearly impossible to fly."

"No, even if we could fly, reaching the height of the suns is nearly impossible. How can we even approach them, let alone destroy them?"

He was deeply troubled. Killing ten suns would not be hard if they could reach them—but that was the problem.

"You're right," another Great Wu spoke gravely. "And it's said those ten suns are no ordinary beings. They're the sons of Heavenly Emperor Donghuang Taiyi of the Monster Race. Their bloodline is extraordinary."

"If we kill them, we would essentially be declaring war against the Heavenly Emperor of the Monster Race. Can we afford such consequences?"

To be honest, only two races dominated the wilderness now—the Monster Race and the Wu Race.

One ruled the skies, the other ruled the land.

If war broke out between them, it wouldn't just be the Great Wu who perished—the entire world could be plunged into chaos, and countless races would be annihilated.

Even with their great power, the Great Wu could not afford the consequences of such a war.

"So what?!"

A particularly hot-tempered Great Wu slammed his fist on the ground. "We are the true descendants of Pangu! Are we supposed to be bullied by the Monster Race like this?! How many more of our people must die?!"

He was enraged. The deaths of so many tribesmen in this disaster were a grievous shame to the Wu Race. Some of the fallen had even been his own descendants.

"It's easy for you to talk," someone said coldly. "Have you thought about the consequences of a war between our races?"

"Bullshit! All I know is if we don't kill those ten suns, we'll all die anyway! Why wait for war when extinction is knocking at our door?!"

"Easier said than done. If the Ancestor Wu don't intervene, which one of us can even touch those ten suns? They hover high above, untouchable. They're practically invincible now!"

"So we're just supposed to watch our people die in the heat?! What's the point of us Great Wu if we can't protect our own?!"

The Great Wu quarreled fiercely, each unwilling to back down.

"Enough."

A deep, authoritative voice silenced the room. Kuafu, one of the most respected Great Wu, stood up. A powerful aura radiated from him, shaking the room into silence.

No one dared to speak again.

Among the Wu Race, Kuafu held immense prestige. Many Great Wu owed him their lives or fortunes. His name was second only to the Twelve Ancestor Wu.

Hardly anyone dared to show him disrespect.

"Let me speak with the ten Golden Crows," Kuafu said, his eyes gleaming with resolve. "They are the sons of Heavenly Emperor Donghuang Taiyi, princes of the Monster Race, and likely not fools. If we reason with them, perhaps they'll understand the consequences of their actions and choose to restrain themselves. If so, we may be able to avoid this crisis."

"Negotiate? With the Golden Crows?!"

The others were stunned. No one expected such an approach from Kuafu. Their interactions with the Monster Race had always been filled with violence and bloodshed, never diplomacy.

Still, the idea wasn't without merit. If it worked, countless lives could be saved, and a devastating war might be avoided.

"Kuafu, is this really possible?" one Great Wu asked skeptically. "They're princes of the Monster Race, proud and arrogant. Would they even listen to us?"

"How will we know if we don't try?" Kuafu said calmly, hands clasped behind his back. "Let me try first. If that fails, we'll consider other options."

"Yes, Kuafu."

The others nodded. They knew that if anyone among them could succeed, it was him.

The next day, Kuafu set out from the Wu Tribe, chasing the ten suns.

At that moment, the ten Golden Crows had just risen from the sea, gleefully soaring and playing in the skies of the prehistoric world. They had no idea that a powerful figure from the Wu Race was pursuing them from the ground.

After all, they flew high above the earth. To them, the creatures below were like ants—too small to even notice.

But Kuafu didn't care. He chased them relentlessly, his footsteps shaking the mountains and rivers.

When tired, he would rest and shake the dust from his shoes. That dust would settle and form towering hills. When hungry, he picked wild fruits—or even cooked meals for himself.

He used three stones to support his pot, and those stones eventually became three towering mountains, stacked like steps into the sky.

As he ran, the suns grew closer. His confidence soared.

But the closer he got, the thirstier he became. The heat emitted by the Golden Crows was too intense—even their unconscious radiance could evaporate the blood of an ordinary Great Wu.

"Almost there. I can catch them…"

Still, Kuafu never lost hope. In fact, his confidence only grew.

He believed—truly believed—that he could catch the Ten Suns.

And he ran, with everything he had.
