With the passage of time, Dijun, Taiyi, and Kunpeng returned to the prehistoric world, bringing with them the complete power of three Quasi-Saints, capable of summoning wind and rain.
They raised the banner of the Monster Race, subjugating weaker races across the prehistoric world and uniting them under one rule.
Life for these weaker races had always been difficult. In a world where countless powerful beings emerged, they were constantly at risk of being slaughtered by terrifying forces or wild desolate beasts.
Now that they had the protection of three powerful Quasi-Saints, they had every reason to rejoice. These races submitted to Dijun and Taiyi one after another.
Thus began an avalanche of conquests; as each weak race submitted, the momentum of the Monster Race grew like a snowball rolling downhill.
Though they were previously weak, under the guidance of Dijun, Taiyi, and Kunpeng, the hundreds of millions of minor races became a formidable force.
Even the Dragon, Phoenix, Black Tortoise, Wood, and White Tiger Tribes—the five great tribes of the prehistoric era—were stunned by the rising power of the Monster Race.
They began avoiding direct conflict.
As a result, the Monster Race's territory expanded rapidly. They took dominion over the sky, occupied the stars, and claimed boundless territory in the heavens.
Simultaneously, the Wu Race, led by the Twelve Ancestor Wu, began their conquest of the land.
The Wu Race were innately powerful. Each individual bore the blood of Pangu. They did not cultivate magic, supernatural powers, or primordial spirits. Instead, they refined their bodies and mastered the power of natural elements.
They proved the Dao through brute force, breaking all laws with a single strike.
In the past, they relied solely on strength. But after receiving instruction from God Kings in the Giant Ax Arena, the Twelve Ancestor Wu inherited the true legacy of Pangu, learning countless combat techniques and cultivation methods.
These techniques were then passed down to their clansmen, increasing the Wu Race's combat prowess by dozens or even hundreds of times. Each warrior became a god of slaughter.
A single Wu warrior could easily defeat several cultivators of the same level.
Furthermore, the Wu Race had strong fertility, giving rise to numerous offspring in mere centuries. They began occupying forests and constructing cities.
In just a few short years, many Wu Cities emerged throughout the prehistoric world.
Using these cities as strongholds, the Wu Race gained control of vast territories. They also subdued many weak races, turning them into vassals.
Some Quasi-Saints attempted to challenge the Wu Race, but when the Twelve Ancestor Wu joined forces, they annihilated all opposition.
They wielded a terrifying formation known as the Twelve Heavens Demon God Great Formation—the fiercest array in the prehistoric world. No one dared face it, not even Saints.
Thus, the Twelve Ancestor Wu became invincible on the Great Desolate Land, emerging as land overlords even more terrifying than the original Five Great Tribes.
Aside from the Monster Race and the Wu Race, others began moving as well.
On Kunlun Mountain, Yuanshi Tianzun established the Teaching of Elucidation (Chanjiao), attracting countless prehistoric geniuses to listen to his Saint Preaching.
However, Yuanshi Tianzun held strict standards for disciples. Ordinary spirit roots were beneath his notice. Most who came to apprentice were rejected.
Still, some prehistoric beings were accepted. Among them, the most renowned were the Twelve Golden Immortals of Yuxu:
Guangchengzi, Chijingzi, Taiyi Zhenren, Manjusri Guangfa Tianzun, Puxian Zhenren, Cihang Zhenren, Yellow Dragon Zhenren, Daoxing Tianzun, Qingxu Daozhenjun, Fearless Liusun, Yuding Zhenren, and Yunzhongzi.
Besides these renowned immortals, many young disciples also joined.
Immortal energy surrounded all of Kunlun, and its fortune flourished as the general trend began to favor them.
Across the East Sea, on Penglai Island, Lingbao Tianzun founded the Teaching of Interception (Jiejiao), which rivaled Yuanshi Tianzun's sect in fortune.
Due to its inclusive doctrine—teaching without discrimination—the sect attracted more disciples than the Teaching of Elucidation.
The most famous disciples of Lingbao Tianzun included his four personal disciples: Duobao Zhenren, Our Lady of Jinling, Our Lady of Wudang, and Our Lady of Guiling.
Additionally, the four elite outer disciples: Zhao Gongming, Fairy Yunxiao, Fairy Qiongxiao, and Fairy Bixiao.
Others included the Seven Immortals like Wuyunxian and Jinchouxian;
Third-generation disciples such as Wen Zhong, Yu Yuan, Our Lady of Fire Spirit, and Yu De;
Fourth-generation disciples like Yu Hua, Hu Lei, Ji Li, and Yu Qing.
There were more than two hundred renowned outer disciples: the Four Sages of Jiulong Island, the Four Generals of the Demon Clan, the Ten Heavenly Lords of Jinao Island, Luo Xuan, Lord Huode, Lu Yue the God of Plague, and Shi Ji Niangniang, among many others.
Not to mention Luohu Jidu, Zuofu Youbi, the Nine Luminaries, the Twenty-Eight Constellations, Thirty-Six Tiangang, and Seventy-Two Earth Fiends, all under the banner of Jiejiao.
Thus, Jiejiao prospered greatly, supported by strong incense and immense numbers.
Luckily, the East Sea was vast, with countless islands and abundant resources far beyond those of the mainland—sufficient to nurture a massive number of disciples.
In the western world, Buddhism was also flourishing.
Zhunti Daoren and Jieyin Daoren spread the Buddha Dharma throughout the Western Regions, saving countless lives and converting ferocious beasts into followers of Buddha.
Their lands became golden Buddhist domains, filled with the chants of countless Buddhas in Leiyin Temple.
Any life that approached was immersed in Buddhist Sanskrit, transforming in spirit.
Once chaotic and bloody, the western world had become a Pure Land of Buddhism under the governance of Zhunti Daoren and Jieyin Daoren.
Even the wildest beasts donned Kasaya, chanting sutras and meditating.
The entire Buddhist Sect was surrounded by immense faith and incense power, drawing heavenly merit and becoming highly prosperous.
Thus, while the Wu Race and Monster Race expanded their dominion through war, the Teachings of Elucidation, Interception, and Buddhism silently developed, spreading their doctrines and cultivating countless beings.
Meanwhile, the Human Race remained insignificant. A weak race without even a cultivation method.
However, under the protection of Daode Tianzun, though they suffered endless calamities and great losses, they never faced total annihilation.
