Chapter 149 - Chapter 149 Galactus: I Want To Go To Earth! I Want To Go To Earth!

After absorbing all the cosmic energy from Silver Surfer, Luo Bai finally withdrew his hand from his head.

With the Power Cosmic stripped away, Silver Surfer could no longer heal his injuries.

The Phoenix Flames continued to burn his silver body, but now—

He was powerless to resist.

For the first time, disbelief flashed across Silver Surfer's usually cold face.

He struggled to comprehend what had just happened. How had his power suddenly disappeared?

His mind raced, but deep down, he knew—

It had to be Luo Bai's doing.

"Where did my power go?! What did you do?!" Silver Surfer demanded.

His voice, usually calm and composed, now carried a rare hint of desperation.

Unlike his usual controlled demeanor, he was nearly roaring as he questioned Luo Bai.

But in contrast to his panic, Luo Bai remained perfectly calm.

Feeling the immense cosmic energy now flowing within him, he replied indifferently:

"It didn't disappear. I simply absorbed it."

The words hit Silver Surfer like a hammer.

Absorbed?

How is that possible?!

Earth… wasn't it supposed to be weak?

How could a mere Earthling possess the ability to absorb the Power Cosmic?

This power had been granted to him by the Devourer of Worlds, Galactus. It made him nearly indestructible, allowing him to continuously draw energy from the universe itself.

And yet—

Luo Bai had taken it so effortlessly.

Not only that—

His body could withstand it.

Silver Surfer remained silent, but his stunned expression said it all.

A long moment passed before he finally spoke again, his voice hollow:

"The information was wrong… There are powerful beings on Earth… The Power Cosmic has vanished."

But those words weren't meant for Luo Bai.

Using his willpower, he sent a signal—

To Galactus.

Unfortunately for him, Luo Bai's immense mental strength allowed him to hear Silver Surfer's thoughts clearly.

Seeing him struggle, Luo Bai couldn't help but feel amused.

"Even now, you're trying to report to Galactus?" he mused.

A hint of ridicule entered Luo Bai's voice as he continued:

"Norin Radd, you're truly pitiful. Your so-called master devours planets—including your own—and yet, you still serve him so loyally. That's quite admirable… in a tragic way."

Silver Surfer froze. His frown deepened.

"What are you talking about?" he demanded. "Who is Norin Radd?"

Luo Bai didn't answer.

Instead, he used his powers to restore Silver Surfer's lost memories.

The moment his mind was unlocked—

The truth came flooding back.

Norin Radd.

That was his real name.

He had once lived on Zenn-La, his peaceful homeworld.

To save his planet from destruction, he had struck a deal with Galactus—offering himself as a Herald in exchange for his people's survival.

And so, he had been transformed.

Given unimaginable power.

Tasked with a terrible duty—

Finding new planets for Galactus to consume.

And now, standing before Luo Bai, he finally remembered everything.

The truth shattered the false reality Galactus had forced upon him.

His pupils widened as the realization sank in.

Galactus hadn't just erased his memories—

He had stripped away his values, his morality… his very identity.

With his memories restored, Norin Radd felt something he hadn't in a long time.

Guilt.

He had been an accomplice to countless planetary invasions.

Destroying the homes of others…

Just as Galactus had done to his own.

And now, for the first time—

He understood that what he had done was wrong.

Yet, despite this realization—

He felt trapped.

This was the price of his deal with Galactus. If he didn't guide the Devourer to other planets…

His homeworld would be next.

A deep conflict burned inside him.

He struggled to find the right words, but Luo Bai already knew what he was thinking.

Seeing the turmoil in his eyes, Luo Bai smirked.

"Norin Radd," he said, his tone neither mocking nor kind. "I understand your dilemma. But as Earth's protector, I can't let your actions slide. I warned you, didn't I?"

Silver Surfer remained silent.

But in his heart—

He had already made his choice.

After all, he knew the truth:

What he had done to other worlds—

Was no different from what Galactus had done to him.

The only difference was—

He had lost.

And now, stripped of the Power Cosmic, he was completely defenseless.

Even when he had power, he couldn't defeat Luo Bai.

Now that his strength was gone—

There was no hope.

Knowing this, Silver Surfer finally spoke.

"I can't defeat you. Do whatever you want."

At first, Luo Bai had planned to persuade him.

After all, now that his memories were restored, it was likely that Silver Surfer would come around.

But—

Why bother?

Without the Power Cosmic, he was no longer a threat.

And if Luo Bai let him live, there was always the risk that Galactus might reclaim his mind and use him again.

That would be troublesome.

More importantly—

He was still an invader.

If Earth showed mercy to those who threatened it—

It would send a message to the entire multiverse that this planet was weak.

And that—

Luo Bai would never allow.

His eyes turned cold.

He didn't waste another word.

Instead—

He used Dark Magic to consume Silver Surfer's soul.

Within moments—

Norin Radd ceased to exist.

His body dissolved into nothingness.

And at that exact moment—

Galactus noticed.

Meanwhile, in an Unknown Dimension at the Far End of the Multiverse…

The Devourer of Worlds was hungrily consuming yet another planet.

As his colossal form loomed over the dying world, draining its life force, something felt off.

Midway through his feast, Galactus suddenly paused.

Something… was wrong.

The Herald he had sent to Earth—Silver Surfer—

Had fallen.

The realization sent a ripple through the cosmos.

Silver Surfer wielded the Power Cosmic, a gift from Galactus himself. His strength was immense, making it nearly impossible for him to be defeated by mere mortals.

Yet—

He had perished on Earth.

This unexpected turn of events shocked Galactus.

"With his abilities… he should not have died on such a small planet."

Galactus' deep voice rumbled like a storm as he muttered to himself.

The more he thought about it, the angrier he became.

Just one insignificant Earth…

And yet, they dared to rebel against a god?!

They even killed the Herald he had sent to investigate?!

The Earthlings were provoking him.

This was unacceptable.

His fury grew, and with a wave of his enormous hand, Galactus summoned three of his remaining Heralds.

Tyrant.

Firelord.

Stardust.

As they arrived, their cosmic auras blazing like miniature stars, Galactus' voice thundered across the void:

"We are going to Earth.

I will show them the consequences of angering a god!"

The Devourer of Worlds seethed, his rage shaking the very fabric of the universe.

Meanwhile, at Kamar-Taj…

Luo Bai had returned to Kamar-Taj, standing within the mystical halls of the sorcerers.

He raised his hand, studying the cosmic energy he had just absorbed.

The Power Cosmic.

Analyzing its properties, Luo Bai quickly realized something—

This energy was incredibly valuable.

Not only did it grant control over the four fundamental forces of the universe, but it also allowed him to:

Generate a life-supporting aura, creating breathable air even in the vacuum of space.

Fly at superluminal speeds, breaking through the limits of time and space.

Access hyperspace, traveling between galaxies in mere moments.

Sense energy and matter from light-years away, detecting cosmic disturbances with ease.

Absorb cosmic radiation to replenish his own strength endlessly.

The more he tested it, the more he realized—

This was a true power of the gods.

As the energy flowed through him, Luo Bai couldn't help but smirk.

So, Silver Surfer wasn't here to invade.

He was here to deliver me power.

And this…

Was just the appetizer.

The real feast was yet to come.

After all, by killing Silver Surfer, he had undoubtedly drawn Galactus' attention.

That so-called god was probably already on his way.

Luo Bai's expression didn't show the slightest bit of fear.

In fact—

He was looking forward to it.

A battle between cosmic-level foodies was about to begin.

Even the Fairy Force within him stirred with excitement.

After all—

It had unfinished business with Galactus.
