Beyond the skies, beyond the planets, and far beyond this solar system, Earth's mission had finally reached its destination. The ship, carrying Earth's top-ranked heroes, except for Nova, as well as several healers and scientists, had landed safely in an alien city. The ship's door opened, and standing on the roof was the number one hero, surveying the alien world.
He was the first to step foot on the soil of this new planet, followed closely by the other heroes. Each one marvelled at the advanced technology and the unfamiliar surroundings. Alien inhabitants gathered around, studying the newcomers with curiosity, recognizing that these humans possessed knowledge and power beyond their own.
"Welcome, dear travellers," one of the aliens spoke, his words translated through a device, bridging the gap between their worlds.
"Hi," the number one hero said, waving his hand, unsure of what to say next.
"I am the leader of this city," the city's leader replied, glancing at the scientists and their equipment.
The leader of the alien race approached the number one hero. "You can call me Zynar," he said, extending his hand for a peaceful handshake.
The number one hero reciprocated the gesture. "And my name is Velon," he said after a moment of contemplation. "I am the mightiest man on my planet," he added with a smile.
The scientists approached, carrying their equipment carefully. "We have the devices you requested," one of them announced.
"Ah, excellent," Zynar replied, walking toward them at a slow, deliberate pace. He took the equipment from their hands, his eyes narrowing as he inspected it closely. For a few moments, he examined the glowing blue material, checking its authenticity.
After a pause, Zynar smiled. "Magnificent," he whispered, marvelling at its radiant glow. "A weapon capable of absorbing the stars themselves."
"And the magic technology you promised?" Velon asked, his voice sharp as he eyed Zynar.
Zynar looked up, meeting Velon's gaze. "Ah, of course." He snapped his fingers, and suddenly, a metallic orb materialized in front of them, casting a soft, magical light that illuminated the entire place.
"May I take a closer look?" Velon asked, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.
"By all means," Zynar said, gesturing toward the orb. "It belongs to you now."
Velon stepped forward, his enhanced vision focusing on the intricate runes covering the orb. The same ancient symbols that bound and shaped the Hyperverse itself. He was astonished, his mind racing. *How could a species have advanced this far?* Velon gazed into the orb thoughtfully before handing it over to one of the scientists. He turned back to face Zynar, who stood patiently.
"I imagine you all must be quite hungry after your journey," Zynar said, noticing their tired expressions. "If you'll follow me, we've prepared a feast for you." He gestured for them to follow as he led them into a grand hall, where tables were laden with an abundance of food.
"You're very generous," Velon replied, nodding in appreciation before signaling to the others. "Go ahead, enjoy yourselves."
The group eagerly scattered to different tables, diving into the meal. As they ate, each one marveled at the flavors, agreeing that it was the finest food they'd ever tasted, far surpassing anything from their home planet.
Zynar turned to Velon, noticing he hadn't joined the feast. "Aren't you going to eat?" he asked, curious.
Velon smiled politely. "I'm not very hungry at the moment," he explained, then quickly added, "I hope I haven't offended you." Concern crept into his voice as he realized he might have unintentionally slighted the leader of this world.
"Well how could you have offended me" Zynar says understanding Velon.
Zynar picks up a cup from the table beside him and taps it to get everyone's attention. The room falls silent as all eyes turn to him and Velon, who stands beside him.
"I want to extend my gratitude to the people of Earth," Zynar begins. "They sought to build friendly relations with a species from another planet, demonstrating that distance is no obstacle to cooperation. They discovered a small planet, teeming with life, just two lightyears away and reached out with a message of peace. Soon after, they sent their finest representatives to establish contact." He pauses, scanning the room to make sure everyone is listening. "I envision a strong friendship between our two worlds. Together, we can advance and share new knowledge for the benefit of all."
He gestures to Velon, inviting him to speak. After a brief moment of reflection, Velon steps forward. "On behalf of my people, I want to express my heartfelt thanks. Most of all, I thank Zynar for welcoming us to this planet and allowing us to meet such a remarkable and intelligent species. Not many races get the chance to forge such a unique bond, and we are truly grateful. I hope we can continue to work together and build trust. And if this planet ever faces danger, I will be here to lend my strength."
Zynar raised his cup high. "Here's to our new alliance!" he declared, and the others quickly followed suit, their glasses clinking together in agreement. The room buzzed with celebration, the air filled with excitement over this newly formed bond.
After three hours of revelry, the time had come to depart. The crew boarded their ship, ready to return to Earth, while four members of the new species prepared to accompany them. Velon, however, would remain behind. As the ship lifted off, leaving Velon behind, the weight of their alliance felt both promising and uncertain.
