Though the assassin was severely injured and trapped, she hadn't given up all hope and drew another dagger from her waist, clutching it in her hand.
But as soon as she swung it, someone grabbed her wrist.
"Remember, we need her alive!" Lady Ireya's voice rang out again.
Thomas nodded and applied a bit of pressure to his grip. The assassin immediately felt a sharp pain radiating from her wrist and could no longer hold onto the dagger, letting it fall to the ground.
Her body swayed, nearly collapsing along with it.
In the end, it was Thomas who steadied her, but as he did, the expression on the Guard Captain's face changed subtly, "A woman?"
Thomas had indeed had some suspicions when he first saw the assassin because she had a petite stature, which suggested she might be either a young boy or a woman.
The assassin didn't respond, as she had already fainted.
Thomas then removed her hood, and the first thing he saw was a pair of small pointed ears on top of her head.
