Hirodod didn't bother to explain any further.
He simply gestured for Clara to follow him.
The tall man previously seen leading the little maid to the Great Temple of Alberto, his entire body encased in black armor, appeared once again outside the Temple.
Like a specter.
But this time he was not alone, forty-odd cavalry dressed like him followed behind, along with an inconspicuous-looking horse-drawn carriage.
The tall man approached Hirodod and said in a deep voice, "Commander, all our men have arrived, with the exception of Golden Eyes, who hasn't been seen since noon."
Hirodod frowned, "Have you made contact with him?"
"I had people mark many places around the city, but there has been no response. Should I leave two men to wait for him?"
"No, there's no need. We already have few people left in the city; we can't spare anyone for him. Forget him, let's leave the city."
After finishing his words, Hirodod made a gesture inviting Clara to proceed.
