Fu Rongyin was flanked by a woman on each side, both diligently offering him tea and water.
Perhaps it was his excessively cold demeanor that made the two women hesitate to approach any closer.
Chu Shuo, accompanied by Chi Yue, walked over and said to the woman on Fu Rongyin's right, "You, switch places."
The woman stood up, and Chu Shuo pressed Chi Yue into the seat. As soon as she settled, someone jested, "Chu Shuo, that's not right of you. Who brings a woman to a place like this?"
Chu Shuo's smile was noncommittal, "I brought someone else's woman."
"Not yours?" The man across studied Chi Yue up and down with unrestrained interest.
Just as he was about to speak, Chu Shuo doused him with a cold remark, "She belongs to Master."
The man's expression slightly flustered, "Ah, Master's woman, then it's no wonder. Only Master deserves such a national beauty."
Fu Rongyin's hand had unknowingly settled on Chi Yue's waist, shielding her in a possessively embracing posture.
