Jin Mo fought back her tears and, after calming her emotions, gently knocked on the car window. She watched as Tang Yan slowly opened his eyes, a hint of bewilderment in his gaze.
He opened the car door, his body moved slightly, and he sat there, taking quite a while to recover.
"Tang Yan."
With a soft call from Jin Mo, Tang Yan lifted his gaze to look at her, his eyes red, clearly having stood guard here the entire night, showing a stubbornness of a different kind.
In that moment, Jin Mo's heart ached like it was being pricked by needles, her face filled with astonishment.
Tang Yan got out of the car, stretching his somewhat numb limbs, and stood in front of Jin Mo, looking at her with a face full of fatigue.
"You've been here since last night?" Jin Mo's voice trembled slightly.
"Mhm." Tang Yan nodded, his voice low.
"Then why didn't you call me? Just foolishly waiting here by yourself?" Jin Mo's tone carried a hint of reproach and deep incomprehension.
