Nila was burned badly but not truly affected by the assault and she began healing almost immediately. Her smile met his and as she continued looking at him her smile became a toothy grin of short sharp teeth. This did not phase him and he rose up into the air and then came back down quickly, his spell releasing just as one of his toes rested on the surface of the water.
Because of the maneuver the spell went up and quickly fell back down toward Nila. She looked up and phased from her position, a small portion of the spell caught within her teleport so it hit her ever so lightly. It was knowledge and soul spell mixed within a weave of forgotten Alyanna magic.
The portion that hit her stunned her and it took a long while for her to think straight again. This was to her detriment because he had already cast two more spells, one embedded deeply in a weave and the other merely a distraction.
