"What were they thinking?" Shi Xi said. There was a hint of anger in her voice. "That Pei family… Do they think that we are easy to bully? Coming over to our residential area and putting on that pitiful look on their face."
"Mom, calm down," An Jian said. His tone of voice was light. "Don't be angry."
"How can I not be angry when facing a shameless family like that?" Shi Xi huffed. "Coming to block our path whenever we go in and out of the residence is one thing. But making up stories in front of others is unacceptable."
An Jian took a glass and poured some water for his mother, hoping that it would help his mother to calm down.
"I was with Lin Xiao Feng's mother when Mrs. Pei stopped us at the entrance," Shi Xi continued after draining half of the glass.
