Chapter 113 - Chapter 109. Banner’s Location Revealed

[Suspected Terrorist Attack in XX City, Mexico!]

Noah scrolled through the newsfeed and the photos attached to the report, and, scratching his chin, decided to click on the link.

The screen switched to a live broadcast: a Mexican journalist with lightly tanned skin was reporting from the scene, standing amidst ruins. She spoke in Spanish, which Noah didn't understand.

"Lissandra, please translate."

"Certainly, Noah," Lissandra began the simultaneous translation, and the journalist's words became clear to him.

"Behind me are the ruins that became the epicenter of the attack. We can see how devastating the impact was, which once again underscores the ruthlessness of the terrorists. Let's ask the locals what they think about this."

The journalist approached one of the onlookers and asked if he was a local resident. Receiving an affirmative answer, she began the interview.

"Oh, last night was terrible! I was still awake when I suddenly heard a loud explosion, as if something exploded nearby. I thought there was a fire somewhere and looked out the window."

The resident continued to tell the journalist about what happened that night. According to him, the explosion was very powerful, as if something had detonated, and then there were sounds of collapsing walls and terrifying screams and growls.

"I don't think it was terrorists. Most likely, it was some monstrous creatures, because... Hey, don't touch me!"

Before he could finish, two burly men in black suits appeared out of nowhere and dragged him away. The broadcast was immediately interrupted, apparently due to some organization taking control of the situation.

"Was that S.H.I.E.L.D.? They work fast," Noah muttered, watching the live broadcast cut off. He wasn't sure who the men in black were, but he assumed it might be S.H.I.E.L.D., which usually handled such matters.

S.H.I.E.L.D. wasn't just an American organization; it had branches around the world for rapid response to anomalous situations. But this was just a guess; the men in black could also belong to local agencies.

However, it didn't matter. He closed the broadcast, which had now turned to white noise, and opened another window. It displayed security camera footage from the scene, which Lissandra retrieved from the Mexican database. However, due to the lack of cameras and their poor placement, he could only assess the situation from indirect shots.

The video was dark; initially, nothing happened, then the ground trembled slightly. If not for his sharp eyesight, he wouldn't have noticed the change. The cameras weren't equipped with microphones, so no sound was recorded.

Noah carefully followed the unfolding events, waiting for the key moment. Gradually, destruction began to appear on the screen: some buildings started to collapse. The area where the disaster occurred looked like an abandoned market or something similar.

"Aha, there it is," he said as the main participant finally appeared on screen. A shadow suddenly appeared in the upper left corner of the video. It entered the frame as if someone had thrown it with tremendous force. The shadow crashed through several walls but then calmly rose, as if the destroyed walls hadn't caused any harm.

He paused the video and zoomed in to examine the creature. The frame revealed a giant mutated black creature resembling a dog. It was massive, with muscles like thick ropes. This monstrous creature was the size of a bull, with glowing green eyes and black fur that shimmered green in places.

"What kind of beast is this?" Noah asked, and a new window popped up next to it, where Lissandra displayed the information she found. Apparently, the mutant was once a Cane Corso, a medium-sized breed of guard dog. Typical representatives of this breed grew up to 70 cm at the withers, but this creature was about two to three meters long.

Noah continued watching the video. After the black mutant rose, another mutated dog appeared in the frame, thrown towards it. The black giant, demonstrating surprising agility for its size, dodged the flying canine. Lissandra quickly provided information about the second dog as well: it was a mutated Staffordshire Terrier. Its originally yellow coat had turned green after the mutation.

"This dog looks familiar, like I've seen it in some Hulk movie," Noah thought, looking at the two mutated creatures on the video. Memories surfaced in his mind, and the characteristic features of these mutants clearly reminded him of the Hulk.

The video continued, and the Hulk indeed appeared on screen. It seemed that after escaping from General Ross's military base, Bruce Banner had sought refuge in neighboring Mexico. However, his hideout was found by these two mutated dogs, and he had to transform into the Hulk again.

In the recording, the Hulk was enraged, roaring incessantly and unleashing blows of furious strength on the giant dogs. At the beginning of the battle, the mutants were still able to bite the Hulk, but the angrier he got, the stronger he became, and soon he began to dominate the fight, literally sweeping the dogs aside.

At the end of the video, the Hulk grabbed one of the mutated dogs with one hand, then bent his knees and executed a powerful jump, disappearing from the camera's view. The impact shattered the ground beneath him, leaving cracks and a pile of rubble.

"Where did these creatures come from? Is this some villain who hasn't appeared in the movies yet?" he wondered.

These mutants hadn't appeared in the MCU movies. Well, except for that Hulk movie that wasn't part of the main universe. There, the villain was Hulk's father, but he never appeared in the main MCU. Therefore, he couldn't understand who was behind the creation of these creatures.

However, after a few seconds of reflection, he suddenly remembered a character who could be responsible for these events.

"Mr. Blue?" He recalled how Banner and his girlfriend sought help from this guy – Samuel Sterns. The movie showed a scene where Hulk's blood dripped onto his head, but he never appeared after that. Noah remembered that before his death, he saw information that Marvel planned to make Sterns a villain named the Leader in the future.

"Most likely, it's him. But what are his abilities? I definitely don't know that," Noah thought. He wasn't interested in characters who hadn't appeared on screen yet, and he didn't read comics often. The only thing he knew about the Leader was that he had a large head, which indicated high intelligence.

"It seems Banner will be coming to me for help soon."
