Donncahd studied her in a strange and intense way. She looked up at him and found that the expression on his face wasn't particularly judgmental.
The stare of the prince had less fire and frustration, more thought.
She wasn't. Entirely certain how to react to it. He was a cruel and thoughtless person who would do whatever he liked without considering consequences. So what. Consequences was he thinking about just then?
He turned, pulling his gaze away from her to look towards the grounds outside.
"I cannot force a sick person into moving." Donncahd sighed. "While I can carry you - there are better uses of my time." His red eyes glanced back over her face as he said it, looking at her like a scholar would look at an insect under their magnifying glass.
Not, for once, a sadistic child doing it in the sunlight. Instead of glee in his expression there was cold calculation.
