Pei Guang looked at Stelle's smug online expressions and pondered, "She probably tweaked the records about us a bit? Maybe added some sort of title in front of our names?"
He had to admit, after raising Stelle bit by bit, he knew her personality inside and out.
In Pei Guang's mind, this was exactly the kind of thing Stelle would do. He could even guess what kind of changes she'd make while he and March 7th were out having fun—probably something childish, like renaming herself to 'Stelle, the Greatest Baseballer of All Time' or something along those lines.
March 7th shivered. "Eek~ Why do I feel like I'm getting scammed here?"
Pei Guang chuckled. "Not that bad, she just doesn't like missing out on what we're doing. But…"
Pei Guang privately messaged Bronya.
Pei Guang: "Heyyy, darling~ You there?~"
Bronya: "Yes!!!"
Pei Guang: "Since this is the first festival after the city's revival, do you need some fun activities? I've got tons of experience running events. Want me to set up some activities before the festival to get everyone involved?"
Bronya, seeing his message, was pleasantly surprised. "Really? You can do that?"
Pei Guang: "Of course! Besides, Stelle is busy with the museum, so once she's done there, she can just transition straight into the festival fun."
Bronya: "Thank you so much! I don't even know how to—"
Pei Guang: "Don't know how to repay me, right? Just boost that affection level a little."
Seeing his message, Bronya immediately replied, "Then I'll leave the festival in your hands. I'll prepare a special gift for you!"
After putting away his phone, Pei Guang turned to March 7th, who was watching him curiously.
March 7th asked, "How'd it go?"
Pei Guang grinned. "No problem. Bronya agreed to my plan, so we can get started right away."
March 7th thought for a moment. "Since it's a festival, should I change outfits?"
Pei Guang pondered. "Of course! I'd love to see you in a different look. And if it's something like those Light Cone outfits, ahem! That'd be even better."
March 7th's face turned red instantly. "You're asking for a beating!"
Pei Guang laughed. "I'm just being honest. Shouldn't I be praised for that?"
March 7th cracked her knuckles. "Come here! I'm definitely giving you a good thrashing today! How could you say something like that in public?!"
Pei Guang suddenly realized. "Ah, I get it. We should talk about this in private!"
The two bantered as they walked, and after a bit of playful roughhousing, March 7th panted slightly and said, "Phew! That warmed me up. But seriously, Ah Guang, how are you planning to pull this off?"
Pei Guang thought carefully. "Since it's a festival, it has to be lively. I'm thinking—first, set up a street full of food and entertainment. There'll be snack stalls and fun activities like target shooting, ring toss, fishing, and more. But that's just the basics. If we want real excitement, we need more.
"We'll set up a stage for music and dance performances, bring in some game machines for people to try out new games, and then, before the festival ends, we'll have a massive fireworks show. Perfect, right?"
March 7th took a deep breath. "Wow… Thinking about it like that, we've got a lot of work to do. Can we really pull this off?"
Pei Guang rubbed his chin. "Should be doable. If not, I'll call in some favors and borrow people to help out. After all, Bronya is trusting us to organize this celebration, and it's the first festival since Belobog's revival. That makes it extra meaningful. Plus, if we set everything up well, Stelle can jump in and enjoy the festival after she's done with the museum."
Hearing Pei Guang's words, March 7th grew excited. "Yay! We'll give Stelle a huge surprise."
Pei Guang grinned. "Then let's get to work! I'll start reaching out to see if anyone has experience running festivals."
Pei Guang had always been highly interested in simulation management. Just like with Aurum Alley, transforming a place from nothing to something, from poverty to prosperity, brought an unparalleled sense of satisfaction to players.
And Belobog fit the conditions for a simulation-style development project perfectly. However, compared to simply sitting in front of a computer and playing a game, this world required a bit more effort.
March 7th looked at Pei Guang. "So, who do we ask for help?"
Pei Guang thought for a moment. "No idea! Let me ask Asta and see if she can lend me a few people. I'll return them after I'm done using them."
As he spoke, Pei Guang took out his phone and contacted Asta.
Pei Guang: "Hey, hey~ You there? I'm planning a festival event. You know anyone experienced and available who can help me out?"
Asta: "Hmm? Sure! But if I accept your request… what's my reward?"
Pei Guang: "Let me think… Got it! During the event, I'll help you get a stylish attack effect or weapon skin. How's that?"
Asta: "Deal! Hmph, but it better be a good one, or I won't let you off the hook."
Seeing Asta agree, Pei Guang smiled. "So easy to convince. Just a weapon effect, and I can get an important NPC to help me with a mission? This brings back memories… But just tossing her some random thing doesn't feel right. Eh, I'll just get Sampo to restock my supply."
