Brooke felt a stretch at her neck and slowly opened her eyes, her hand fell to the sore spot, gently massaging the area with her fingertips. She raised her head from it's resting posture, and let out a tired yawn.
"What time is it?" She asked, wiping the spec from the corner of her eyes.
"Eight pm." A voice responded, dragging Brooke out of her drowsiness. Sharply, she traced the voice to her right, only to see Damien sitting next to her, his shoulder where her head had been.
It didn't take Brooke too long to process what had happened, she noticed the crinkle on the material over his shoulder and the dried up drool patch.
She immediately got on her feet, "I am so sorry for this." she apologized, feeling beyond mortified over the slight mishap. A part of her wanted to question why Damien was here in the first place and why her head was rested on his shoulder, but she felt it would come off as rude.
All she wanted was to leave before she caused herself anymore embarrassment.
