Chapter 186 - MASS RELEASE 6

Chapter 290: The Artifact Changes Hands

The Sea God—lofty, majestic, awe-inspiring. A being revered by countless worshippers, idolized by innumerable souls.

Earlier, over fifty thousand soldiers of the Heaven Dou army had knelt in unison, praying to him devoutly. Even Emperor Xue Beng had become one of his most faithful believers.

But now, this mighty god, the Sea God they believed would reign forever, was bleeding—disgraced and humiliated. And the one responsible for this was the very man they hated most: Chen Xuan. How could the Heaven Dou army accept such a reality?

"You damn native, you truly deserve to die!" the Sea King clutched his severed arm, divine blood streaming without end. The wound refused to heal.

At his level, rebirth was possible. Severed limbs could regenerate. Even if only a drop of divine blood remained, his body could be remade. He should have recovered instantly.

But now, the Sea God's face had turned ashen. His wound was being corroded by a bizarre energy, preventing regeneration.

More crucially, that energy involved the laws of Yin and Yang—far superior to his own. He alone could not dispel it.

"One breath, one 'native.' You think you're so noble? In my eyes, you so-called gods are less than pigs and dogs. Lower than beasts!" Chen Xuan's killing intent surged. He channeled natural energy and the power of Yin and Yang through his body and charged forward, Dragon Spear in hand.

His spear was now imbued with his advanced Samsara Eye technique. Even a tiny wound from it would cause the power of Samsara to devour all vitality.

Shua!

Lightning burst forth, dragon energy surged like a golden sea. Radiant and fierce, Chen Xuan charged ahead at full speed, unstoppable.

The Sea God had suffered greatly—cut off his own arm, dislodged his shoulder, half his body soaked in blood, pain wracking every nerve. Seeing Chen Xuan with a life-devouring spear in hand, he was overcome with fear and dared not meet him head-on.

Poseidon was fully aware—this brat had obtained a monstrous opportunity, a power too strange and overwhelming. He alone couldn't contend with it.

In truth, he had already called for help from the other gods, including the Goddess of Speed who resided on the continent. Reinforcements would come soon.

Shua! Poseidon turned and fled without hesitation, in front of both Heaven Dou and Spirit Empire's armies, disappearing into the distance.

At the same time, he reached out for the distant Golden Trident—a divine artifact he had hurled during his third strike of the Thirteen Golden Tridents, which had vanished after slamming into the earth.

He didn't believe anyone could claim it. The artifact weighed 108,000 jin—no soul master could lift it.

But Chen Xuan's lips curled into a cold smile. Gods, for all their arrogance, still bled and fled when faced with death.

Instead of chasing Poseidon, he shifted direction and shua!—snatched the Golden Trident and tossed it into his system space. Just like that, it was his.

"You…!"

Poseidon was both shocked and furious. That was the Golden Trident, a divine artifact weighing 108,000 jin. He finally came to his senses, jolted out of his panic, overwhelmed by a mix of disbelief and rage. How dare a native!

This weapon had been fully refined by him. No matter where it was, a mere thought could recall it back to his hand. Now, he attempted to do just that—summoning it with divine power.

But… it was too late. The artifact had already changed ownership. If it had been placed in a soul tool or something like Dugu Bo's Hundred Treasures Pouch, it wouldn't have held—the Trident would have forced its way out and returned to its master.

Unfortunately for him, Chen Xuan hadn't used a normal storage tool. He had thrown it into the system space. The artifact now belonged to someone else.

"You little bastard, how dare you!" Poseidon roared in shame and fury. He was a first-class god—the only one who had ever fought a God-King and remained undefeated. Now he had been stripped of his weapon by a native? It was an unforgivable disgrace.

But then, Poseidon's expression turned ghostly pale. His scalp went numb.

He could no longer sense the presence of the Golden Trident. It was gone—vanished as if erased from existence.

The artifact… had truly changed hands.

Poseidon's heart turned cold. His entire body trembled with dread. He relied on that Trident and the Thirteen Golden Strikes to face God-Kings and survive.

Without it, he was just an ordinary first-class god. He could be slain by any peer, let alone challenge a God-King.

Poseidon's face drained of color. In the Divine Realm, he had lived for a thousand years—he had enemies. And if they found out he no longer had his divine weapon, he would be finished. There would be no place left for him in the heavens.

"Damn you, native!" Poseidon howled, his fury erupting. All of this… it was all because of that brat!

"You decrepit dog! You're the one who deserves to die most!" Chen Xuan sneered. With the artifact in hand, what did Poseidon have left to boast about?

He charged once more, spear raised, dragon aura erupting, golden lightning crackling wildly as he slashed toward the sky.

Whoosh! Poseidon retreated at full speed, dodging the tip of the Dragon Spear. He had already suffered one crushing defeat and lost his artifact—there was no way he'd face another head-on clash.

He swung his palm backward. A tidal wave soared to the heavens, pouring down like a heavenly flood, drenching the sky and crashing down toward Chen Xuan.

"Without the Golden Trident, you're nothing but a useless old sack of bones!"

Chen Xuan's eyes were cold. Lightning wrapped his body. With a shua!, he vanished from the spot and ascended into the heavens, easily dodging the massive downpour.

His current speed was blinding—faster than lightning, worlds apart from what it had been a month ago. How could he be hit by such a basic divine technique?

But the Heaven Dou army on the ground wasn't so lucky. The massive tide swept down—water surging like dozens of lakes combined. It was terrifying.

"Ahhh—!"

From below came screams. Heaven Dou's soldiers were engulfed in a single strike. Over 50,000 men were drowned in an instant.

Even without the Trident, a divine technique was still a divine technique—absolute and devastating. Against soul masters, it was certain death.

And of those 50,000, over 90% weren't even soul masters. Just stronger-than-average humans. They were crushed by the flood—none survived.

They died never understanding that it wasn't the enemy who killed them, but the very god they worshipped. A tragic irony.

In mere moments, over 90% of the army was gone. Fewer than a thousand remained.

Only powerful soul masters like Xue Beng, Dugu Bo, Flender, Liu Erlong, and Zhao Wuji had reacted in time—escaping to the surface and avoiding being shredded by divine power underwater.

"No… my people!" Emperor Xue Beng was drenched, hair hanging loose, howling in anguish, pitiful like a dog that had lost its home.

They would never understand. Even gods, when faced with death, would run like cowards. How could they care for mere mortals?

A divine battle—soaring energy, unimaginable power. Trees within kilometers withered. Even a casual divine technique was more than soul masters could handle.

It was only because the battle had taken place in the sky earlier that the Heaven Dou army had a chance to cheer below. Otherwise, they'd have been obliterated already.

Now, the Sea God they revered had become the very executioner, tearing open a spatial rift to escape, leaving behind carnage and ruin.

"Poseidon, did you really think you could run?" Chen Xuan swept his cold gaze over the sea. In the blink of an eye, the fifty-thousand-strong Heaven Dou army had been reduced to mere fragments—barely a thousand remained.

He felt no pity for them. They had brought this upon themselves. There was no one else to blame.

Shua! With a flick, Chen Xuan tore open his own spatial rift and stepped through—vanishing from the sky above.

Chapter 291: The Fall of a God (Grand Finale)

Gods—capable of traversing the heavens and the earth, nearly omnipotent. Almost every High God had lived for over a millennium and mastered several spatial laws and divine techniques.

Otherwise, they would never be able to traverse the starry seas or cross dimensions to reach the continent.

But even for a first-class god, crossing dimensions was no simple matter. It required coordinates and prior preparation.

Poseidon fled madly, using the power of spatial law to escape. Without it, he could never have shaken off Chen Xuan with mere speed.

His face was grim, his left side drenched in blood, shoulder dislocated—a miserable sight, and all caused by the "native" he looked down on. The shame was unbearable.

As furious as he was, Poseidon didn't dare face Chen Xuan head-on, not after experiencing the terror of his strange weapon. That spear was simply too sinister.

It reminded Poseidon of a rumor from the Divine Realm—Chen Xuan's abilities were far too similar to the mysterious God King of Calamity. He couldn't help but wonder: was this boy his reincarnation?

A hundred li from Sea God Island, by the coastline, Poseidon tore open a spatial rift and returned to the mortal realm.

Sitting cross-legged above the sea, divine energy swirled around him as he began absorbing the power of the ocean to replenish his strength and heal his injuries.

He devoured the ocean's energy wildly, hoping it would purge the strange force inside him and restore his divine body.

Yet after several minutes, even after draining half the ocean's strength, while his divine power was restored, his vitality and divine soul had barely recovered by ten percent. It was utterly ineffective.

Poseidon's face darkened. He refused to accept this. He changed locations, once again absorbing oceanic energy to hasten his recovery.

He wasn't afraid that native brat would find him—the continent was vast. How could he possibly know Poseidon had fled to Sea God Island?

Besides, even if he did, Poseidon had spatial coordinates etched here. He could teleport directly to the location, expending almost no time.

That brat, no matter how fast, would need a full day to cover thousands of kilometers. There was no way he'd arrive so quickly.

Poseidon sneered. He had already summoned the other gods. By the time that wretch arrived, the God of War and the Goddess of Speed would be here to assist. When that time came, a net would be cast from heaven to earth, and no matter what tricks Chen Xuan had, he would be trapped and slain on Sea God Island.

Logically, Poseidon's reasoning was sound. Unfortunately, no matter how much he racked his brain, he could never have predicted that the strange energy within him didn't just block his healing—it had also marked his exact location.

"You old bastard. You really know how to run." With spatial teleportation, Chen Xuan had arrived at the sea in just half an hour.

He appeared in the sky and attacked immediately, charging forward with his Dragon Spear.

Poseidon was both shocked and furious, disbelief written all over his face. How had that native found him so quickly? It was impossible!

His expression shifted dramatically, and he shot into the sky, fleeing at once.

Boom! A massive explosion rocked the ocean, carving out an abyss. Waves surged over a hundred meters high—a terrifying scene.

"Die, old bastard!" Chen Xuan gave chase, the Yin-Yang force within his body fusing into golden lightning, rivaling the highest-tier divine speed techniques.

"Native! Don't be arrogant! I will kill you today!" Poseidon roared—but he didn't fight back. He kept running.

He became an illusion, a shadow, flickering across the sea with incredible speed—several times faster than on land.

Furious beyond belief, Poseidon's body was soaked in blood. He was the mighty Sea God, yet he was being hunted down by a native, completely unable to retaliate. It was a disgrace worse than death.

He swore in his heart—if he found an opportunity, he would make this native suffer a fate worse than death. He would torture his wife and daughter until they perished in agony.

"You think you can run forever?" Chen Xuan's eyes were icy cold. Killing intent surged. If a god didn't fall today, how would he have his revenge? How would he make the gods tremble?

He summoned the power of nature and fused it with his immortal arts, his physical strength soaring. His speed doubled again.

"Kill!" Chen Xuan activated his Samsara Art and released his silver short sword. Flying sword runes filled the sky, densely packed.

Even though Poseidon fled with tremendous speed, he was still grazed by the edge of the flying swords. His face turned deathly pale—fear crept in.

In an instant, one of Poseidon's legs was consumed by the power of Samsara. All life was devoured, his flesh decayed, leaving behind a bare white bone—chilling and ghastly.

Poseidon acted swiftly and decisively, cutting off his lower leg with a single slash. The severed limb was devoured mid-air, even its marrow drained to dust.

"Ahhhh!"

Poseidon howled in madness, on the verge of losing his mind. Having lost an arm and now a leg, he had suffered unprecedented wounds. The humiliation was unbearable—he was clearly strong, yet here he was, dismembered and disgraced.

And all of it… at the hands of a native he once dismissed. How could he accept this?

"Chen Xuan! I will kill you!" Poseidon howled, voice hoarse with rage.

But even as he spewed threats, he kept running—faster than ever, not daring to pause or fight back.

"You're still talking tough on death's door? If you've got the guts, stop running!" Chen Xuan shouted coldly.

Flying swords ripped through the sky, silver runes trailing behind like a chain of lightning. Once again, they grazed Poseidon's body.

"You—!" Poseidon's fury was unmatched. But he was ruthless—he dug out the wounded flesh from his abdomen without hesitation.

"What, 'you'? You think being a god changes anything? I'll kill you just the same!" Chen Xuan was covered in golden lightning. With a flash, he caught up, thrusting with both spear and sword.

Pu pu pu…

Poseidon screamed in agony, stabbed again and again. His hair flew wildly, fury erupting—but all he could do was sever one of his own thighs. Divine blood sprayed everywhere. He was utterly miserable.

Pu! The next moment, he took a sword strike to the rear. At that point, Poseidon was livid, completely unhinged.

Yet he had no other choice. Gnashing his teeth, he severed the entire lower half of his body and continued fleeing.

"Still trying to run?" Chen Xuan laughed. With the Sea God's lower half gone, his speed plummeted. In a flash, Chen Xuan caught up.

Pu! A flying sword tore through the air. Silver light gleamed—Poseidon's shoulder was cleaved off, divine blood spraying like a fountain.

"No—ahhh!" Poseidon's scream was wrenching, soul-piercing. What could he even cut now? His neck? Just leave a head behind?

His face turned paper-white. All color drained. He was truly terrified.

"If you don't dare, allow me to help." Chen Xuan's expression was icy as he struck.

With a sweep of the spear—Pu!—Poseidon's head was severed. Everything below the neck lost its life force, withered to bone.

"No, spare me! I was wrong!" In that final moment, Poseidon begged—pleading for mercy.

Even Chen Xuan was stunned. A god, once so lofty, now bowing his head, admitting defeat? What a surprise.

Yet even so, his killing intent did not waver. With a swift flick, he sent the severed head flying—then thrust his spear forward.

"No! You can't kill me! Your wife, your daughter, your family—they're not dead! Only I know where they are!"

Pu! Divine blood spurted. The head was pierced clean through, a massive hole blown open. Brain matter and blood seeped from the tip of the spear, the divine luster faded.

"Ahhh—!"

Poseidon shrieked in horror. The head was consumed by Samsara's power, brain and blood vanishing. All divinity and laws disintegrated, leaving only a ghastly skull.

"You know what it means to beg for mercy? Where was that mercy when all those people begged you? Did you ever spare them?" Chen Xuan's voice was ice-cold.

Shhhk! He summoned the silver flying sword, slicing through Poseidon's divine sense and soul—reduced to ash.

The sea stretched endlessly into the horizon.

On this day, the Sea God fell—killed just outside Sea God Island, perishing in the very ocean he once took such pride in.

Poseidon died miserably. His life force was devoured, his divine body reduced to scattered bones, and his divine soul was obliterated—his form and spirit both destroyed, vanishing completely from existence.

The fall of the Sea God sent shockwaves across the land. Countless places felt the tremor of this battle.

Across the myriad worlds, Poseidon's legacy remained. Blood rain fell from the sky, altars cracked, and statues crumbled to dust, losing their divine radiance.

At that moment, within Sea God Island itself, blood rain poured from the skies. The grand statue of the Sea God lost its power and, with a resounding crash, shattered. Blood seeped from the broken pieces.

"No—Lord Sea God!"

Countless inhabitants of the island cried out in anguish, heartbroken and grief-stricken. The great and powerful Sea God had fallen—without any warning.

This day was destined to become the darkest mark in their lives. The god they revered, believed to be invincible, had abruptly and inexplicably perished.

In the Divine Realm—

"Poseidon is dead? Impossible!"

The gods were the first to sense it. Each one was stunned. This was a first-class god who wielded a top-tier divine artifact. How could he suddenly fall?

Poseidon, one of the ancient gods of the first generation, had lived for over a thousand years. Equal in age to the heavens, impervious to all laws—even the God Kings had to show him respect. Who in the world could possibly kill him?

"Find that person immediately! Anyone who can kill Poseidon must be far beyond the level of a first-class god. If we don't eliminate him, he'll become a scourge upon the Divine Realm!"

Back on the continent, outside Sea God Island—

Chen Xuan stood atop the sea, operating his Samsara technique, absorbing the last of Poseidon's energy.

A being who had lived over a millennium—his vitality, divine energy, and blood essence were overwhelmingly vast, incomparable to anything a soul master could ever provide.

Chen Xuan sighed. Cruel as it was, this was reality. The gap between gods and soul masters was astronomical.

From just absorbing the energy and divine power of Poseidon alone, he had finally broken through the bottleneck that had plagued him for so long. Something he had failed to do no matter what methods he tried. He had now reached the fabled level 100 and beyond.

"So it's true… there is a realm beyond level 100. The difference between soul masters and gods is immense. Crossing that threshold is unbelievably difficult," Chen Xuan muttered. Level 99 being called the 'Limit Douluo' wasn't without reason.

Without his Samsara Eye technique, he might have needed another ten years before ever having a chance to break through to godhood.

He was lucky. Not only had he surpassed level 100, but his divine power had soared all the way to level 110—equivalent to a second-tier god.

"Technically, it's no longer called soul power. It's divine power now," Chen Xuan murmured to himself.

He could clearly feel the transformation. After breaking through the level 100 bottleneck, his soul power had undergone a qualitative evolution, becoming divine power—an entirely higher tier of energy.

This was largely due to the sheer amount of energy Poseidon had provided. It patched up his weaknesses, merged with the power of laws, and elevated his soul power to an entirely new pinnacle.

"After breaking through the six paths, even my eye technique evolved. What a pleasant surprise." Chen Xuan wiped the blood tears from his right eye. That eye had always been terrifying—now, it had upgraded again.

Previously, his eye technique could only be used against those in the same realm or lower. At most, it could strip life force and soul power.

But now, the evolved Samsara technique could not only devour divine power and vitality—it could even seize the laws engraved in a god's body. That was beyond broken.

By fusing Poseidon's divine power and laws, he had essentially become a second Sea God himself.

He now possessed the power to control the ocean. He could absorb the sea's strength and fully understood the mechanics behind the Thirteen Golden Strikes. With enough practice, he could master them all.

However, he wasn't interested in merely learning someone else's divine skills. He wanted to create his own—skills that surpassed the Thirteen Golden Strikes, the strongest divine techniques in existence.

Chen Xuan set this goal for himself. For now, he wouldn't rush. Having absorbed all of Poseidon's powers, he needed time to comprehend and awaken his own laws.

"To live as long as the heavens and be immune to all laws… that's all just relative." He spoke to himself.

After absorbing Poseidon's complete energy, he now had those same abilities—no different from any true god.

And at this level, he finally understood the meaning behind those words. It wasn't that they were wrong, just misinterpreted.

To be "immune to all laws" meant immunity to anything beneath the level of gods. That's why, back when he was still a soul master, no matter what he did, he could never kill a god.

As for "living as long as the heavens," that only applied within the Divine Realm. If the Divine Realm were destroyed, those laws would cease to exist.

In the end, achieving immortality wasn't easy.

"I wonder how Xiao Wu and Yiyi are doing…" Chen Xuan frowned.

He was sure they were still alive. The kunai he had left them hadn't been destroyed—it had only vanished from this continent.

He guessed it must have been Qian Renxue who saved them. She must have taken them away for some reason, but he didn't know why.

"Forget it, I'll head to Spirit Hall first." Chen Xuan stood up, putting away his Dragon Spear and flying sword.

But just then, the calm sea erupted.

The ocean surged upward, spiraling toward the heavens in pillars of water thousands of meters high.

"Native—it was you who killed Poseidon!" A powerful, resounding voice echoed from the sky, shaking heaven and earth.

Boom—!

Above the clouds, the sky twisted violently. Dark clouds gathered, thunder roared, lightning snapped through the air. A strange phenomenon appeared.

Chen Xuan frowned. His divine sense was now incredibly sharp. Instantly, he sensed three terrifying auras descending from across realms.

In the heavens, black clouds rolled, lightning thundered, blotting out the sun. It felt like the end of the world. Then suddenly—a beam of golden light pierced through the heavens, divine energy boiling, descending from the sky and striking down across the realms.

"Native, kneel!" the voice roared again from above, as thunderous and commanding as before, but now tinged with fury.

From within the golden light, three figures slowly revealed themselves—divine energy flowing around them, each exuding unimaginable power. Blood energy surged, halos radiated behind their heads, reaching to the heavens. Divine and untouchable.

"The God of War, the God of Speed, and the God of Fire... You sure brought a lineup. Three ancient gods all at once—how am I supposed to eat that much?" Chen Xuan chuckled. Genuinely pleased.

His eyes burned as he locked onto the three figures in the sky. There was no hatred—only the joy of a predator spotting prey.

He swallowed.

He had just broken through a bottleneck. Now his next "meal" had delivered itself to him. What a coincidence.

Absorbing the power of three ancient gods—just thinking about it thrilled him. Who knew how far he could break through?

"Native, how dare you not kneel before us!" roared the God of War. His features were sharp and hardened. He wore snow-white divine armor, sacred and imposing.

His eyes were full of fury. Chen Xuan's expression was all wrong—he looked like he was admiring treasure. It was insulting, blasphemous to a god. Unforgivable.

Extra Chapter 2: Godhood of Zhu Zhuqing (Free)

(I'm back—took a short vacation for some rest.)

Outside Sea God Island

The three gods descended from the sky, stepping through the clouds and arriving upon the world.

"Native, do you not kneel before us?" the God of War barked, his sword-like brows and starry eyes shining beneath armor that radiated divine light.

At his sides stood a beautiful woman and a blazing man—none other than the Goddess of Speed and the God of Fire.

"Even Poseidon wasn't my match, and yet you dare posture before me? Do you think you're any stronger than him?" Chen Xuan rose to his feet, eyes fixed on the divine figures glowing in the heavens.

He opened his left eye. At once, vast ocular power erupted—a purple gleam flashing with nine tomoe swirling within. It was the Samsara Eye, no weaker than any wielder from the Ōtsutsuki clan.

With a wave of his hand, divine energy flowed across his body. Behind him, Yin and Yang forces interwove, forming nine black Truth-Seeking Orbs that floated in a ring across his back.

"All of you come at once—no need to waste time killing you one by one. Honestly, the three of you are weaker than Poseidon. You may as well call in your so-called God-King." His voice was filled with battle intent, fearless in the face of any opponent.

Now, having mastered both systems, Chen Xuan had fused divine power with Yin-Yang energy and entered a brand-new Six Paths mode.

"You arrogant native. Killing you, I alone am enough," sneered the God of War, his snow-white battle armor glowing with divine radiance, making him appear both valiant and untouchable.

The Goddess of Speed smiled gently and said, "Chen Xuan, I know you. You're Zhu Zhuqing's companion, aren't you? What a pity—you two are destined never to be."

In the god trial she had designed, the final trial required Zhu Zhuqing to choose a partner to pass—and that person could only be Dai Mubai. No one else would do.

Chen Xuan smirked, unfazed. He had already guessed how hypocritical these gods were—preaching about rules of the Divine Realm, only to be ruled by their own selfishness. No different from Poseidon.

What they didn't know… was that Zhu Zhuqing had already given up on that god trial, and had become a second-tier god on her own—through the Law of Speed.

"Native, I don't know what trick you used to kill Poseidon, but tricks mean nothing in the face of absolute power. I'll tell you now—my strength is no less than his. With the help of the War God and the Goddess of Speed, killing you will be as easy as crushing a chick," said the God of Fire, who had remained silent until now. His words were sharp, his finger pointing straight at Chen Xuan.

His blazing red hair roared like wildfire, incinerating the air itself. Even from kilometers away, the heat could be felt.

"Chen Xuan," said the Goddess of Speed with a cold smile, her pale face tinged with disdain, "for Zhu Zhuqing's sake, I'll give you a chance to end it yourself. Otherwise, your wife and daughter won't survive."

"What do you mean by that?" Chen Xuan's expression darkened. A sense of foreboding rose sharply in his heart.

Could it be… he'd misjudged? Had Qian Renxue not managed to save Xiao Wu and Yiyi in time? Had they been captured by the Goddess of Speed instead?

If so, it would be the worst-case scenario. He would be forced to yield, choked by the threat hanging over his loved ones.

"What, afraid now?" sneered the God of War. "Didn't expect a native like you to be so sentimental. I thought you were already cold and heartless, but it seems you still lack what it takes to be a god."

The God of Fire laughed as well.

The Goddess of Speed's tone grew colder: "The more you care about, the more weaknesses you have. The path to godhood is one of solitude. You must abandon everything—people, feelings, even attachments. But you can't. That's the difference between you and a true god."

Chen Xuan's expression remained cold. He didn't respond. The situation was unclear—he couldn't confirm if they really had Xiao Wu and Yiyi.

Better safe than sorry. He couldn't afford to gamble their lives.

Just then, a figure appeared on the coast beyond the land, shrouded in a dark violet light, speeding toward them.

"Chen Xuan, don't believe them! Xiao Wu and Jiangzhu are safe!" Even from thousands of meters away, the voice rang crystal clear in his ears.

"Zhuqing?" he said in surprise, spotting the figure on the shore.

Instantly, Chen Xuan was at ease. Zhu Zhuqing transmitted her voice to him, explaining everything: Qian Renxue had arrived in time, fended off the Goddess of Speed, and saved the entire city.

High in the sky, the three gods also noticed the figure by the shore. The Goddess of Speed's expression shifted—her lie was about to be exposed.

They could all sense it clearly—Zhu Zhuqing's divine aura was powerful and refined. She had already reached the threshold of second-tier godhood.

"Capture him now!" shouted the God of Fire, his entire body engulfed in flame. The sky turned red, the clouds igniting from the heat.

He hadn't expected such a twist. A second-tier god appearing on this continent? Unthinkable.

Previously, the three of them working together had a 90% chance of defeating Chen Xuan. But now—with another god on his side—they didn't even have 10%. The tide had turned.

The gods attacked. Omens appeared. Half the sky turned blood-red like a sea of fire, burning with energy that crushed down like a mountain.

The God of War moved too. Killing intent surged, transforming into countless invisible blades, densely packed, covering the entire sea below.

Shua!

Zhu Zhuqing moved at incredible speed. One moment she was at the shoreline, the next she was beside Chen Xuan—instantly shrinking the distance.

"You came at the worst time," Chen Xuan said as the firestorm and killing blades bore down on them, tearing the sky apart.

Zhu Zhuqing showed no fear. Her face was still as cold and beautiful as ever. But a faint smile tugged at the corner of her lips: "I'm not afraid. I'll face any storm with you—even if it's fire and blades."

Chen Xuan was deeply touched, warmed by her words. He said nothing more and activated the Truth-Seeking Orbs behind him.

Three black spheres flew out. Yin and Yang forces intertwined, melting instantly into a sentient black fluid that wrapped around both of them—forming a massive black sphere.

Boom!

The divine attacks struck. The sea roared with waves a thousand layers deep. Fish, shrimp, and massive sea beasts were all vaporized by the heat. Even the sea itself evaporated.

In an instant, half the ocean floor was exposed—countless tons of seawater vanished, revealing scorched earth below.

Nothing could survive such divine destruction. Even Sea God Island in the distance shook violently—its seas boiled, its land quaked.

Yet in the center of it all, the black sphere still floated—still whole, save for a few cracks.

"Im… impossible…" The Goddess of Speed's eyes widened in disbelief. The sight shattered her understanding of reality.

The God of Fire and the God of War had combined their strongest divine attacks—attacks so powerful even a God-King would avoid them.

And yet, that seemingly fragile black sphere had blocked it all.

They couldn't believe it. Their strongest individual attacks—neutralized just like that?

They began to doubt themselves, their divine hearts shaken, their will wavering—on the verge of collapse.

Extra Chapter 3: The Fall of Two Gods (Free)

The Truth-Seeking Orbs, forged from Yin-Yang principles and the five elemental laws, were the most fundamental trait of the Sage of Six Paths.

They were said to be the hardest substance in existence.

Even when the first-tier Fire God and second-tier War God joined forces and unleashed their strongest divine techniques, they managed to destroy only two of them.

At that moment, the sea fell into absolute silence—no waves, no crashing tides.

Because this part of the ocean had entirely evaporated, revealing a scorched seabed. Everything was burned away by the searing flames. Fish, shrimp, and all sea life had been reduced to nothingness. Not even a trace of vitality remained.

Divine techniques had obliterated all in their path. Within mere seconds, dozens of kilometers of seawater were vaporized. Life was annihilated, and desolation spread in every direction. An eerie stillness blanketed the world.

Chen Xuan floated in midair and waved his hand, retrieving the shattered Truth-Seeking Orbs.

Reality had proven it: divine techniques, while formidable, were not invincible.

He could recreate the Truth-Seeking Orbs—but large-scale divine clashes like that consumed immense amounts of energy.

Zhu Zhuqing stood there unscathed, untouched by the onslaught.

She remained as striking as ever, her cold beauty undiminished. A single purple mark at the center of her brow further highlighted her serene and icy aura.

"Now that they're done, it's my turn." Chen Xuan clenched his fists, divine power gathering. He was preparing a vicious counterattack against the gods above.

To be precise, he didn't use named divine techniques. His raw power itself was a divine technique—he didn't need to bother with flashy forms or complex moves.

High in the clouds, the three gods stood aloft, gazing down at Chen Xuan and Zhu Zhuqing.

They had once believed themselves superior—thinking this "native" only managed to kill Poseidon by luck. That he couldn't possibly stand against true gods. A single attack should've been enough to crush him.

But now, even after their divine bombardment, the two below still lived—unscathed.

They no longer felt so confident. Their expressions turned heavy.

The Fire God stared intently at the seven black orbs behind Chen Xuan, face dark with unease.

Now he understood how this rogue native had managed to slay a thousand-year-old god like Poseidon. It must have been thanks to those mysterious orbs.

The War God frowned. Despite his millennium of experience, he couldn't see through the orbs. He had no idea what substance they were made of—certainly not ordinary material.

"You're relying on those things, aren't you? Must be precious. Once they're used up, you'll be finished!" the War God taunted.

Chen Xuan said nothing. He simply gathered Yin-Yang energy into his fists, preparing to use the simplest yet most effective fist technique.

Zhu Zhuqing had already taken action—her figure flashed, becoming a streak of light. In a blink, she crossed the thousand-meter gap. Her speed was unimaginable.

Divine energy surged from her body. Purple light glimmered, and as she raised her hand, the void tore open. A tide of ghostly brilliance surged upward, covering half the sky.

"Divine Technique: Nether Rift Slash!" Zhu Zhuqing shouted softly, unleashing her self-created divine skill for the first time.

Shhk!

A rift of purple light thousands of meters wide tore into the sky. It shimmered with deadly radiance, illuminating the heavens.

The Fire God, War God, and Goddess of Speed—though ancient deities—weren't foolish enough to take that head-on. The divine power cost would be far too steep.

"Hm?"

"Why is the space sealed? How?!"

Their expressions changed dramatically. The exit had been blocked. They couldn't use spatial powers to escape. Their space techniques had been sealed!

The Fire God and War God were stunned. They were ancient gods, having lived over a thousand years, and now they were trapped by a newly ascended second-tier god?

It was unacceptable—beyond comprehension.

The purple light surged, sword energy roiling across the sky like a net of sharp blades. There was no place left to run.

In desperation, the Fire God and War God could only fortify themselves with divine shields and take it head-on.

Boom!

Above, divine power exploded into a storm. The sky turned violet, splitting the heavens and swallowing half the clouds.

At the last moment, only the Goddess of Speed escaped—slipping through space using the law of speed. She fled the region entirely.

"Chen Xuan, I can't hold them long—go now!" Zhu Zhuqing shouted urgently, her pale forehead beading with sweat.

"What?" Chen Xuan was stunned, momentarily confused.

Then, as the light dimmed, the forms of the Fire God and War God reappeared.

Though unscathed, their faces were twisted with rage, their eyes full of hatred as they glared at Zhu Zhuqing.

They couldn't move.

The entire space and sky had been sealed, locking them in place. No escape.

It hadn't been an offensive divine skill at all. The overwhelming light show was merely a distraction—the true purpose was to insert divine energy into their bodies, locking their souls in place.

"You dare—!? If you don't release me, I'll imprison your soul and body for eternity, make you wish you were dead!" the Fire God raged.

His body was immobilized, so he could only release mental waves filled with fury.

"I'm afraid you won't get the chance," a voice whispered coldly in his ear.

Shua!

Before the Fire God could react, a figure appeared behind him—Chen Xuan. His fist, crackling with electricity, drove forward.

Pu!

Before the Fire God's disbelieving eyes, a bloodied fist burst through his chest, crushing his heart.

Divine blood exploded, painting the sky red.

His pupils shrank. It was unbelievable. But in seconds, his skin turned pale, drained of color. His life force evaporated.

His flames extinguished. His red hair turned white. His flesh shriveled, aging rapidly. Life slipped away at a terrifying speed.

In moments, the once-vibrant Fire God had become a hunched, hollow old man.

If he still didn't understand what was happening now, then all those years he lived had been for nothing.

"You… you're the Evil God!" he shouted with all his strength—and died.

Shhk!

A flash of sword light slashed through the sky. The Fire God's escaping soul was obliterated—gone without a trace.

Chen Xuan didn't pause. He activated his left eye—the Samsara Law spread out, turning into a barrage of runes and consuming the War God.

"The Divine Realm won't let you get away with this!"

The War God's soul howled with fury and unwillingness—but the silver sword slashed down, obliterating it. Gone.

"All that's left is one," Chen Xuan muttered, clenching his fists, his body surging with power.

The two gods—ancient beings over a millennium old—their divine power and vitality were terrifying. After absorbing them, Chen Xuan's cultivation instantly reached great perfection.

He was now one step away from becoming a God King—the gap was razor-thin. With time to consolidate, he would fully enter that realm.

Just then, Zhu Zhuqing flew over and leaned close to him, whispering, "I can't sense the Goddess of Speed anymore. She's probably left the continent. She might cause trouble in the future."

"It's fine. I already know the location of the Divine Realm. Don't worry," Chen Xuan smiled, stroking her hair gently.

Zhu Zhuqing still looked uneasy and said, "This time… we've truly made ourselves their enemies. More gods will definitely descend in the future to target us."

Chen Xuan nodded. The laws of the Divine Realm could no longer restrain them. Gods could now descend at will—and next time, there might be sneak attacks. That would be far more dangerous.

Today had been a wake-up call. If not for Zhu Zhuqing and Qian Renxue's ascension, the entire city—Xiao Wu and Yiyi—would've been doomed.

"We must eliminate the roots. Once I finish matters on the continent, I'll head to the Divine Realm… and take care of a few of those gods personally."

Chen Xuan had made up his mind.
