Attacking in turn, we struck at the man in the fox mask, but even the blows that landed failed to produce the desired effect. Blood streamed down his body, yet he barely retreated, maintaining his stance.
– Is this even normal? – Krado narrowed his eyes, gripping the hilt of his sword.
– I've never seen anything like this... – I murmured, keeping my gaze fixed on the enemy.
The wounds healed before our eyes. Deeper ones closed a bit slower, but the difference was negligible. The flesh knit together as if time itself was bending, making me question the very reality of what I was witnessing. It was hard to believe that a human body could regenerate like this. This wasn't healer's magic. This was something... else. Something not of this world.
