Chapter 113 - Home At Last

Upon her return to Tus Nadair, the Nadarians welcomed their goddess, their god mother, their role model, home. And they did this with style, throwing a huge welcome home festival, partying all day and night for a couple of days. Of course there were a few minor exceptions in the way of women giving birth, though, it only added to the celebrations. In fact, child rearing had become so commonplace at this point, that the festivals were planned in a way to handle such situations. As a result, nothing was going to throw a wrench into their plans to party it up good.

And just like last time there was a large festival, a few days passed when women would excitedly, albeit a little sickly, would go to visit their goddess and gain both confirmation and blessings. Some of them this time around, would be having their first, and were noticeably nervous, anxious, and also thrilled, though most of them had dragged their man along with them.

One such young woman was up next. She walked up close to Night Silver, as she was beckoned with a smile. "Mother, I've been feeling off as of late."

"What you're feeling is normal, young lady. All women will have that ill feeling sooner or later when they get pregnant."

She teared up and smiled. "It's true then? I'm really going to have one of my own!?"

"Yes you are. It's truly wonderful. You and your man have my blessing." She tilted the young woman's head up a little, and with a gently peck on the lips, she smiled. "I wish you a safe, healthy pregnancy, and the same for your child."

Of course, this was what Night Silver, and Undine would do. It was a marker to prove that even if all things ended up going wrong, the goddess would assume responsibility for the child in the event it was needed. It was an agreement of sorts, one born of trust, and love.

Later on, Undine started to get those warm fuzzy feelings again. And once it was just the family together, she brought it up.

"Sil, Brighty, I want more children. I can feel my body aging more and more by the year. And when I see all those smiling faces out there… I can't help but want more of our own children."

"Pfft, you're adorable Undine." Night Silver smiled, and kissed Undine with a kiss meant for lovers. One that conveyed sentiment without the need for words. "Don't you know? You're the only one here who'd need to be convinced to have more." She added. "But before we do, let's decide on the theme for our future children. How many do we want to have?"

Undine, breathing very heavy at the moment. She was clearly expecting to have gone more in-depth with that wonderful physical contact she'd been lacking for a few years. "I don't know how many, but with how easily it is for you to conceive multiple babies at once. Perhaps we should shoot for an even larger number? Let's keep going until my body naturally stops. I should be good for at least 12 more. And if I'm lucky I could do a bit more. I just wonder… Oh! I know! Let's go based on the constellations! And if we get lucky, we may even be able to have a boy and girl for each one!"

Right now, the young deities were all enthralled with the prospect of having more brothers and sisters. Laughing all about it as they played in the water, with a clear lack of care for their garments. Something in their dragon blood, combined with the environment they have been raised in so far, has created the idea that whenever possible they will shed those layers like they weren't meant to be there.

Brightness Dragon Lord was the only one who was worried about his wives. For some reason, Undine hadn't actually managed to rear any children while Night Silver was away, and that wasn't for a lack of trying. After a little investigating, they came to the conclusion that her cycle had matched up so well with Night Silver, that Undine wasn't able to cycle without her lovely wife present as well. If that was the reason, or not, was still uncertain. But it was what they went with.

"Well, what do you think, Brighty? Shall we make more bundles of joy together?"

Brightness had been deep in thought, and once he snapped out of it, Undine, and Night Silver were both in some extremely provocative and romantic poses. He had a slight rosiness applied to his cheeks as a result. "Of course I'm ready. I'll have as many offspring with you as I can. The more the merrier… I am concerned though, the food stores, while full now. It would cause problems, if we had too many more bottomless pits of mouths to feed."

"Huh? Since when? The food produced in our beloved Tus Nadair, should be more than enough to sustain us even if we multiplied the number of children we have, by 10."

"I agree, but, our children have yet to hit that large growth level that all dragons reach right before they achieve maturity and become Dragon Lords. If we have over a hundred. It might become challenging to find sustenance."

"I see, Perhaps I should begin working on underground farming technology, similar to greenhouse technology. Only difference is it would be on a much larger scale… Or I could actually bother to enchant the current farms. But then we'd need to find a way to preserve the increased food output." Night Silver then shrugged. "But that's enough of that for now. It's time to worry about baby making, dear husband. I've been craving this for quite some time now."

The gods were then surrounded in a blinding fog, meant to hide their actions from their children. Though, it's not as if they won't have to learn about it sooner or later. Just, not now. This time, with how much Brightness had held back, it didn't take long for both Undine and Night Silver to not only get pregnant, but also confirm that they were.

From there, the rest is history, well, that is, for the next handful of decades anyway. Once the new youngest child was 3 years old, Night Silver sensed an odd power that, collectively, dwarfed her own, gathering in the distance.
