Eventually, time had passed, and Undine had long since made up the difference in the number of children she bore in comparison to Night Silver. This made the number of children they had number 16. Currently the youngest is 5 years old.
The children had formed their own groups among themselves, four in total. With these groups they established more homes equally far apart from the central home. This action had a natural expansion effect on Tus Nadair. After all, none of the children wanted to be more than a short flight from their mothers.
Of course, along with the expansion, came a rapid explosion in population. This only cascaded into more and crazier effects. For instance, the number of healers in the hospitals had also exploded. Apprentice healers had gained plenty of experience to become full fledged healers in their own right. This added with the increased struggle to find proper building locations, it was only natural that people would expand and migrate.
Over these years, another fantastic development occurred in Moigit and Frayrsis, both having become full fledged Dragon Lords. And at the same time, they had obtained the ability to assume humanoid form. This was a massive step forward, and a huge motivator for Issanth, who began to frequent the nation much more after learning it wasn't just Brightness that had managed to pull it off.
What was Issanth's reasoning? She had kept it secret from everyone aside from Brightness. And she only told him because of a conversation they eventually had…
"Sister, why do you want to transform so badly?"
"Huh? You don't know?"
"Not really, like I have a few ideas, but I'm not sure if your reasons line up with the reasons I had."
"Fufufu, brother, I have a few reasons, but the highest one among them is that I want to play with Sil a little bit. She's so good at making others feel good, I want to feel that for myself."
"So it's not to make it easier to find a mate, then…"
"Ew, no, gross. I'd much sooner get it on with Tsa. The only human man out there, even remotely close to worthy is that bastard shield wielding god of the theocracy. And I'm not lying with such a self-absorbed prick who's laid with thousands of women."
"So you just want to have fun with my wife…?"
"Is that a problem?"
"Not really, no. Sil had made it abundantly clear a while ago that she'd have to be willing to give her people that degree of reward. She even once publicly made the claim that if someone did enough to catch her attention the right way, she would go as far as to bear the man a child, and if it were a woman… Well, I don't know what she planned for that, but I'm sure it has something to do with me…"
"Pfft, ahahaha! Yep, that sounds like her."
It took Issanth a few years longer to pull off the transformation, however, with such a huge degree of desire, she would soon pull it off. Unfortunately for her though, Night Silver had asked everyone to gather for an important meeting. With all of her children, her husband, wife, and husband's siblings present, she began speaking…
"Everyone, I've decided to go on a journey to experience everything this world has to offer. I want to see all of the sights of nature. I get the feeling this is something I must do. It's been nagging at me for a couple of years now. But I wanted to wait until everyone was strong enough to handle themselves."
"Mommy… You're not leaving us forever are you?"
"No, I'd never want to be rid of any of you. You're my precious, adorable babies. And yes, that includes you as well, just because you're older now doesn't change the fact you're my children. My precious baby boys and girls."
The children blushed and squirmed, giddily. Undine was about to ask something, but she decided against it. If it was something that Undine could also travel with, then there wouldn't be any surprise in this matter.
"I see, then I guess I'll have Husband all to myself for a while then, but, just how long?"
Night Silver gulped, not liking the fact she wasn't going to get any action for a while. "With how fast I am, I don't think it'll take more than 3 years. I really wish I could bring someone with me, but I'm afraid this is something that only I can do. It's something this world is telling me." She kissed Undine on her soft and tender lips. "You understand, don't you?"
Undine, smiled and kissed Night Silver a couple more times. "I do. Even so, I wish we could go with you. But, I'll stay here to help our babies grow up big, strong, and beautiful. You go and do what you need to." She kissed her again, this time with full tongue and passion. It really looked like they were about to start making love. "Don't worry while you're gone, I'll be the best mother I can to all our babies. After all, they are my babies too."
Night Silver, laying on her back with Undine laying on top of her, their hands interlocked. "I know, and I'm extremely thankful for that. I don't think I'd be able to go on this journey without you here, to be their mother."
Brightness chuckled. "Don't worry your heart in the slightest! They are all my children too, and so long as I'm here I won't let them go unhappy!"
"Of course not, Brighty. And while I'm gone, don't get too laxed either, if you get pregnant again, you better expect to get me pregnant again too. I'm not going to lose out to Undine."
"Hehehe, maybe I should get Husband to give me a baby right now. I could use the head start after all."
"Can I have a baby sister!"
"I want a baby sister too!"
"I want a baby brother!"
The 5 year old spoke up next. "I want lots of baby brothers and sisters!" They exclaimed with a giant smile.
"Looks like we're going to be busy once I return."
The two mothers giggled, while the children bickered about what kind of simply they'd get next. And then the next day came, Night Silver left Tus Nadair, she embarked on her journey to comprehend the natural world. The very thing behind why she had made the character she now lived as.
