[Third Month: Under your coaxing, Nami stayed with you in Windmill Village for nearly two months, turning the village inside out in search of the Devil Fruit you mentioned, but to no avail.
Just when Nami was about to give up her treasure hunt, the long-awaited dog-headed warship finally arrived.
Since Nami had already been forced to join the Arlong Pirates, she instinctively tried to pull you away to escape upon seeing a warship docked at Windmill Village.
However, you broke free from her grasp and sprinted toward the port, intercepting Garp as he disembarked.
When Garp heard from you that there were corrupt marines colluding with the Arlong Pirates to enslave over twenty villages in the East Blue, his face turned grim, and a murderous aura emanated from him.
The East Blue, known as the weakest sea, was Garp's hometown. Whenever he returned, he would clean out a batch of pirates.
By sheer luck, or perhaps misfortune for the Arlong Pirates, they had avoided targeting Windmill Village despite enslaving so many other villages.
Had Garp returned to find Windmill Village under Arlong's control and Luffy killed while resisting, the scene would have been catastrophic.
Driven by his sense of justice as a marine and his ties to his homeland, Garp couldn't tolerate corrupt officers like Captain Nezumi or the continued existence of the Arlong Pirates.
He immediately decided to take you and Nami aboard the warship to head for Cocoyasi Village.
Under your encouragement, Garp also brought Luffy along, intending for him to witness firsthand the evil of pirates.
Dragged onto the ship by force, Luffy kept shouting that he was destined to become the Pirate King, only to be beaten up by Nami.
Given that Arlong had killed Nami's adoptive mother in front of her, Nami harbored a deep hatred for pirates.
Seeing Luffy, who had a grandfather as a Marine Vice Admiral, stubbornly aspiring to be a pirate instead of leveraging his privileged position, Nami couldn't hold back her anger.
After venting her frustration by beating Luffy senseless, Nami began to regret it.
Luffy was Garp's grandson, after all. Beating him in front of his grandfather might lead to her being thrown off the ship to feed the fish.
To her surprise, Garp wasn't angry at all. In fact, he laughed heartily upon seeing Luffy beaten into a swollen mess and even praised Nami for her talent, inviting her to join the marines.
Seeing that Garp wasn't upset and instead warmly extended the invitation, Nami felt a flicker of conflicting emotions.
Her adoptive mother, Bell-mère, was once a marine herself. Influenced by Bell-mère, both Nami and Nojiko had childhood dreams of becoming marines.
However, after Bell-mère was killed by Arlong and Captain Nezumi colluded with pirates, Nami lost faith in the marines.
But Garp's hearty and forgiving demeanor reminded Nami of Bell-mère.
Still, Nami didn't accept his invitation outright. She wanted to see Garp eliminate the Arlong Pirates with her own eyes before committing.
If Garp and his men couldn't defeat the Arlong Pirates, Nami would have no choice but to stay behind and continue her deceptive allegiance to protect Cocoyasi Village.
On the way to Cocoyasi Village, Garp's lieutenant questioned how you knew the Vice Admiral would visit Windmill Village.
After the family of former Admiral Zephyr was brutally killed by pirates in retaliation, the navy began concealing personal information about officers' families.
Thus, ordinary people couldn't possibly know that Garp's grandson was fostered in Windmill Village.
Faced with their curious gazes, you solemnly claimed to have the ability to foresee the future, explaining that you occasionally saw visions of events beyond your control, purely by chance.
Garp and Luffy believed you immediately, calling your ability "super cool!" Meanwhile, Nami, furious, grabbed your ear and yelled at you.
With her sharp mind, Nami realized that if you truly had future sight, your earlier claim about treasure in Windmill Village was a lie, making her dig up the village for over a month in vain.
Knowing how terrifying Nami could be in her anger, you quickly apologized and begged for forgiveness.
With your apologies and reassurances, Nami calmed down but nervously asked if you foresaw the outcome of the upcoming battle.
Grasping Nami's hand with solemnity, you assured her, "Don't worry! With Vice Admiral Garp here, we're guaranteed to win!"
After several days at sea, you finally arrived at Cocoyasi Village.
In disbelief, Nami watched as Garp obliterated the Arlong Pirates with a single punch, turning her nightmare into dust.
After eliminating the Arlong Pirates, Garp took you all to the 16th Marine Branch and personally arrested the corrupt Captain Nezumi.
Having witnessed the power of strength firsthand, Nami, under your encouragement, accepted Garp's invitation and prepared to join the marines with you.
Leaving Cocoyasi Village, you used your "future vision" excuse to reveal Captain Kuro's staged death and his manipulation of Marine Morgan through hypnosis.
Upon learning that Morgan had been hypnotized into turning from an upright marine into a corrupt one, Garp frowned deeply.
Reaching Shells Town, you saw Morgan behaving arrogantly, prompting Garp to have him arrested and taken to Syrup Village.
Confronted by Garp, the disguised Kuro was bewildered and instinctively resisted, only to be crippled by Garp's furious punch.
If Kuro had simply killed Morgan, Garp might not have been so enraged. After all, marine casualties were common in pirate suppression.
But by hypnotizing Morgan and twisting him into a villain, Kuro disgusted Garp deeply.]
