Karn stood at the entrance, watching the influx of students. He could feel the energy, the eagerness of those who sought knowledge and power, and the nervousness of the new arrivals who were stepping into an unknown world. Lakshmi and Mrityunjay stood beside him, their expressions a mix of excitement and curiosity.
"Look at them," Mrityunjay said, grinning. "Fresh blood. Some of them probably think they're invincible."
"And some of them will be crushed by reality soon enough," Lakshmi added, her tone pragmatic. "Nalanda isn't a place for the weak-willed."
