Chapter 23 - New Found Strength

The nucleic core at the center acted as a counterforce to all the soul cores revolving in an orbit around it. Now, he didn't need to use soul power and blood essence individually, as the soul power from the nucleic core was denser and carried all the attributes of his soul cores.

Wang Lin, while observing his new Stellar soul cores, was also absorbing the other information he gained alongside the Stellar core soul formation—namely, the Dragon God's Claw technique. The memories he received in just a couple of hours equaled centuries of practicing the technique.

Wang Lin was eager head outside the cave may be if it's convenient take revenge on the great beasts of Star Dou, especially Xiong Li, the Dark Gold Dread Claw Bear.

He headed out of the cave, searching for any beasts that had ganged up on him before. He didn't see any beast for a while but his search wasn't in vain—before long, he found his enemy No. 2: Xiong Li, with the Dark Gold Dread Claw Bear cub Wang Lin had rescued on his shoulders.

"So, it's you who is taking care of the bear cub," said Wang Lin.

"It seems we went easy on you if you're already moving after just a couple of days," Xiong Li replied.

Upon Xiong Li's provocation, Wang Lin wanted to fight immediately. But after seeing the bear cub, he didn't want to accidentally injure it. Unlike before, his strength had increased to uncontrollable levels, and he wasn't confident he could control the aftereffects of unleashing his powers.

"I'm not in the mood to fight. Tell me, where is Gu Yuena?" asked Wang Lin.

"She's always in the Core Lake. Seems those beatings really hit your head hard. You seek death as much as I do. I want to see the infuriated expression on Di Tian's face when he hears you call our lord by her name," said Xiong Li, looking at him with amusement.

"She might be your lord, but she ain't mine," Wang Lin said, walking past both bears.

Wang Lin walked through the pulsing forest and reached the Core Lake. He stood there, watching the pristine water, plotting how to escape from the core of Star Dou if the Silver Dragon King didn't keep her word.

He didn't have to wait long before he sensed a presence slowly rising from the depths of the lake. Even though she had just emerged from the water, not a single drop clung to her body—speaking to her mastery over the elements.

Wang Lin stood, appreciating her beauty for a few seconds before speaking.

"Gu Yuena, you agreed I could leave Star Dou Forest if I managed to learn Dragon God's Claw. I've learned it," Wang Lin said with confidence.

Gu Yuena, who had always suspected something was off about Wang Lin, was genuinely surprised this time. She looked at him in confusion.

"Are you sure? It's not something that can be learned in just a few days. If you're lying just to get out of Star Dou Forest, you're wasting my time."

"Words alone won't prove their authenticity. Let me show you with my actions," said Wang Lin, gearing up.

He knew he had to put on a display for her and all the spirit beasts in the forest. After growing stronger and meeting several intelligent spirit beasts, he had started letting his guard down. But after fighting multiple beasts at once, he realized he didn't yet have the overwhelming strength needed to face any challenge and come out on top.

Now, he wanted to prove to himself just how much he had grown since his last battle.

Wang Lin attempted something new—his humanoid body shed its clothes and transformed into his draconic form.

From the memories gained and techniques mastered, he had become an expert at gathering elemental energy using the system.

Combining the skills of Yin-Yang complementary techniques, resonance techniques, and the Dragon God's Claw, he gathered soul power from the surroundings.

A flowing, revolving sphere began spinning in front of his chest. All of this was witnessed by a confused Gu Yuena.

The energy sphere grew at an immense speed. Before Wang Lin had formed his nucleic core, the sphere would have stopped at the size of a basketball. But now, there was no sign of it slowing down.

Soon, it reached the size of several houses. The massive sphere, with its huge gravitational field, pulled in more and more soul power, fueling its growth.

The commotion attracted the denizens of Star Dou Forest one by one. Di Tian, Bi Ji, and other Great Beasts of Star Dou arrived near Wang Lin.

"My Lord, if he loses control, half the water in Star Dou Lake will evaporate in an instant. It'll delay your recovery—worst case, he'll die in the explosion. It's better if we stop his mad actions. He seems to have come to this conclusion after realizing he couldn't learn the Dragon God's Claw in such a short time," said Di Tian.

"It's okay, Di Tian. Everything's under control. But you're wrong about one thing—the madness you see isn't because he failed to learn the technique. It's because he believes he has learned it," said Gu Yuena with a smile, as Di Tian looked on in confusion.

The elemental sphere took on Yin-Yang colors as it grew, reaching the height of a multi-story building. Just as it seemed Wang Lin's control was slipping, Gu Yuena tried to intervene—but Wang Lin's next action surprised her.

His claws glowed with nine-colored light. He pressed them against the sphere, temporarily stabilizing it. Knowing time was short before it exploded, he swung his claws upward and hurled the sphere into the sky.

The elemental sphere shot upwards at astonishing speed, covering several kilometers in seconds.

It still had momentum, but after losing contact with Wang Lin, it destabilized and detonated—releasing a blinding light and a shockwave felt across surrounding countries.

After the spectacle, Di Tian and Gu Yuena stared in surprise at the glowing nine-colored claws.

"My Lord... it's the Dragon God's Claw technique. But how could he learn it so fast? It took me decades," said Di Tian.

"Di Tian, you see... to use the Dragon God's Claw, one must possess the authority of the Dragon God. There are only three beings in the history of its creation who could wield it: you, who were directly bestowed it by the Dragon God; the Dragon God himself; and the Dragon Prince," said Gu Yuena.
