With Obadiah Stane securely captured and restrained, Seph stood in the workshop, observing the aftermath of the chaos. Though Stane's threat had been neutralized, the events leading up to this moment still weighed heavily on his mind.

"You're an idiot, Tony," Seph finally said, breaking the silence.

Tony, leaning back against a workbench with the arc reactor in his chest, faintly glowing, raised an eyebrow. "Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence."

"I'm serious," Seph said, his tone firm. "How could you let something this critical slip through the cracks? You designed that suit, built it, and then just... let the plans hang around for someone like Stane to find? That's a rookie mistake."

Tony winced, realizing Seph was right. "Look, I didn't exactly hand it to him on a silver platter."

"No, but you might as well have," Seph shot back. "When I saved you back there, I sent the suit with you. I made sure nothing was left behind. But this?"

He gestured toward the faint blueprints projected by JARVIS. "This was neglect on your part."

Tony sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Alright, alright. I screwed up. You're right."

Seph crossed his arms. "Glad you're admitting it. Now what are you going to do about it?"

Tony's expression grew more serious. "First, I'm upgrading the security—both here and at Stark Industries. No more vulnerabilities. No more chances for someone like Stane to pull this off again."

"Good," Seph said, his tone softening slightly. "Let's make sure this doesn't happen again."

Meanwhile, Pepper was at Stark Industries, leading a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and Agent Phil Coulson into Sector 16. The area was a concealed workspace where Obadiah Stane had been secretly building a massive suit based on Tony's original design.

As the agents combed through the area, Coulson whistled softly, taking in the size of the half-completed suit. "He really went all out, didn't he?"

Pepper crossed her arms, her expression grim. "All of this was happening right under our noses."

Coulson nodded. "Not anymore. We've got everything under control now."

The agents quickly sealed the space, confiscating all the equipment and designs. The project was officially dismantled before it could pose a real threat.

----

At Stark Industries, the press conference was held in a sleek, futuristic auditorium packed with reporters, cameras, and a palpable buzz of curiosity.

Tony Stark stood at the podium, exuding his signature confidence, while holographic displays behind him showcased incriminating evidence against Obadiah Stane.

Footage of illegal arms deals and blueprints of unauthorized weapon prototypes flickered in the air.

"As of today," Tony declared, his voice steady but cutting, "Obadiah Stane has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, including conspiracy, illegal arms dealing, and betrayal of Stark Industries' mission to protect lives, not destroy them."

The room erupted in a storm of questions. Tony raised a hand to silence the crowd, his gaze sweeping across the room. "I know you all have questions, but let me clarify: Stark Industries has severed all ties with the weapons trade. The past ends here."

The reporters weren't satisfied.

One voice rang out above the rest: "Mr. Stark, there are rumors of a mechanized suit being involved. Are these connected to you? Is it true you've developed something... revolutionary?"

Tony paused, his sharp eyes flicking to Rhodes, who stood off to the side. Rhodes discreetly shook his head, mouthing, "Don't even think about it."

Beside him, Pepper looked visibly tense, her lips pressed into a thin line.

Meanwhile, Seph leaned casually against a pillar, his arms crossed and an amused smirk on his face.

Tony smirked, dragging out the moment. "Mechanized suit, huh?"

He let the question hang in the air, glancing between the reporters and his team. Then he stepped away from the podium, pacing a little as though contemplating his response.

The room fell silent, anticipation building.

Finally, he turned back to the crowd.

"The truth is..." He started, his voice dropping just enough to make everyone lean in. He paused dramatically, his smirk widening. "I am Iron Man."

The room exploded into chaos. Flashbulbs lit up the auditorium like lightning as reporters shouted over one another, desperate for follow-up questions.

Tony stood there, basking in the uproar, a small confident smile hanging on his lips.

Pepper's jaw dropped, and she muttered, "Unbelievable."

Rhodes groaned, rubbing his temples in frustration, muttering something about how this would be a nightmare to clean up.

Seph, however, chuckled, shaking his head.

"Classic Stark," He muttered under his breath.

----

After the press conference, Pepper sank into a chair in the lounge, looking utterly drained.

"That... was exhausting," She said, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I don't even want to think about what the damage control will look like tomorrow."

Seph leaned casually against the doorframe, watching her with a faint smile. "Need a ride home?"

Pepper sighed in relief. "Please."

As they left, Seph patted Tony's shoulder on the way out. "Try not to set the world on fire while I'm gone, Stark."

Tony grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "No promises."

----

Later that evening, after the press conference, Tony returned to the mansion, exhausted but smug. He pushed open the door to the living room, expecting to find Seph or Pepper waiting for him. Instead, he found someone entirely unexpected.

A man was standing in the middle of the room, dressed in a long black trench coat. His presence was calm but authoritative, his single visible eye scanning the room with precision.

"Who the hell are you?" Tony demanded, immediately on edge.

The man turned to face him, unfazed by Tony's tone. "Nick Fury. Director of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Tony raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms. "You know, there's this thing called knocking."

Fury smirked. "Didn't think I needed to. Your security system isn't exactly foolproof. That's something you might want to address, by the way."

Normally, Seph would have intervened, but he wasn't around—he had left with Pepper to ensure she got some much-needed rest after the day's events.

Tony narrowed his eyes. "Alright, Fury. You've got my attention. What do you want?"

Fury took a step closer, his expression serious. "I'm here to talk to you about the Avengers Initiative."

Tony tilted his head. "The what now?"

Fury's smirk returned. "Let's just say it's a little project I've been working on. Something that might interest a guy like you."

Tony glanced at the arc reactor in his chest, then back at Fury. "Go on."

As Fury began to explain, Tony couldn't help but feel a strange sense of anticipation. Whatever this "Avengers Initiative" was, it sounded like the start of something big.
