Chapter 53 - CHAPTER 52: Tough Choice.

"Asher, why's my divine core sealed?" I asked. I can't believe it, I have another core which is the divine core. But, why is it sealed within my mana core? Is that even possible? And there's no way it'll be sealed within if nobody sealed it, right?

"Even I have no idea why. Maybe if I can communicate with Ley, we'll know but...I can't contact that girl, I have no way of contacting her. She's the only one who can contact us, it's like an ability of hers," Asher explained. Well, Asher said that my Godmother was my Mom's friend. That means she knew about the reason why my divine core is sealed, right? Or was it her who sealed it?

"What's even more surprising is that its sealed within a mana core," Asher added, he throw himself on my couch as he cross his arms and legs, closing his eyes.

"Hmm, is it really that surprising?" I asked. If it's not supposed to be within my mana core, does that mean I should have two cores then?

"Yes. If we unseal your divine core, it will absorb your mana core and you'll have only one core," Ohh, so I won't have two cores. My divine core will absorb the other...is that alright?

"What will happen if my mana core is absorbed?"

"You'll get even more stronger. Your divine mana and mana will merge together after all," What--

Am I actually that amazing?

Hmm, well I think I'm the second one to actually have a divine power after Felicia, huh?

"We should tell the Emperor about this," Asher said, sighing. I don't know what he's thinking right now, if he's amazed or disappointed.

"Is it a bad thing--"

"History might repeat itself," Huh? What does he mean by that? Is it about me having a divine mana like the 104th Duchess? What makes him think that history might repeat itself!?

"Explain further,"

"You know that you're being targeted by the Demon King, and that's because he knew you have a divine mana. It's the same with Fel. The jerk possessed someone close to her and planned to steal her divine core, however...well, someone found out about it and tried to save Fel, they planned something and...hmm, well, the plan is still on-going until now, I think?" What?

What the heck is that plan!?

"What is it?"

"I don't know, well maybe if we find Athalia, we'll know," Athalia...

That's the black magician that is sealed because she cursed my ancestor, right? But Asher said she's not our enemy, but the Demon King. Until now, I still don't understand. Why is she sealed if she's not our enemy? Could it be that she's the person closest to my ancestor and was possessed? Then, what about the story on the Odilia book? Are those all lies?

"But, we knew where she is sealed, right?" I asked, and Asher nod his head.

"However, your father won't let us see her for sure," He then clicked his tongue and sigh in disbelief.

"Let's talk to them tomorrow,"

I nod my head and lay down on my bed.

This day is very tiring. A lot of things happen in the span of 24 hours. Now, I don't know what will happen in the next days. Not being able to know the future has its disadvantage.

Well, the story hasn't started yet, since my sister is not yet revealed.

But, even so...

A lot of things are already happening. Did these things actually happened before Amara's story has started? Or is it just now because I changed the plot?

I don't know, I have no idea anymore. I should just sleep.

"I'm glad you came, Sir Morias," An old man with brown hair and eyes greets Morias, smiling proudly as if he had done some achievements. He wears an expensive suit and slacks, with many accessories decorated to his clothes.

"I can't deny the request of the Baron Florian," Morias answered politely, he sits across the Baron, not touching the tea and snacks that are prepared for him.

"Did you snuck out?" The Baron asked.

"Yes, as per your order," Morias replied. He roamed his eyes, and because of the mask he's wearing, the Baron had no idea of where his eyes lands.

Morias secretly activated his magic, making sure it is not visible to the Baron. He then created a small eye as he let it float away from their direction. He also made sure that it is invisible from the eyes of the people outside.

The eye floats towards the office of the Baron next door, and saw a pile of papers on his desks.

"Good. Do you know why I called for you, Sir Morias?" The Baron asked.

"I have no idea, My Lord," Morias lied, still searching for any relevant information around the room where they are right now. He also stared at the Baron and examine his mana.

"Hmm, his mana flow is not fixed. This guy don't use magic," Morias thought, then he focused on the eye that he made, which is now roaming around the office. It floats toward the papers on the table and read it.

Most papers are about the treasury of the Baron, but one paper caught Morias' attention.

It talks about the alliance of the Baron and the Western Dukedom, three of the names are from the Central Empire's Earls and a Viscount.

Morias grits his teeth and created a clone of himself out of the eye that he sent to the office. The eye slowly turned into a human with an unusual hair color, and a face of a young handsome man with amber eye, his right eye is closed with a slanted scar.

"Here..." The Baron in front of Morias' original body placed a small potion bottle on the he table with dark red liquid inside.

"It's a monster blood. I heard that if a human consume it, they will die instantly," Morias prevented himself from clicking a tongue after seeing the potion bottle in front of him.

"Your Lordship wants me to mix this on His Majesty, the Princes, and Princess' food?" He asked, and the Baron smiled smugly.

"You're a smart guy,"

"Does Your Lordship thinks I will do that?" Morias asked, while his magic clone is busy collecting information from the Baron's desk.

"You have no other choice but to do it, because you won't be able to leave alive if you refuse me," and all of a sudden, men in black hooded robe and mask appeared behind Morias, with one of them pointing a knife on his neck.

"If I fight here, I won't be able to get more information from them. And I also need this bottle of monster blood," Morias thought, glancing to the men.

"I see. Then I shall accept it," he spoke, calmly.

On the other hand, all the papers related to the Western Dukedom and the monsters trafficking are being stolen by Morias' clone, warping it to his own room in the Imperial Estate.

"That's all, huh...?" Morias' clone disappeared when it was done rummaging the Baron's desk.

"Then, I shall go now and give a good news to His Lordship tomorrow," the Baron smirked as he nod his head.

"I look forward to that,"

Morias picked up a bottle, he smirked behind the mask.

"Good thing I am wearing a gloves,"

My eyes squints as the reflection of the light pass through the glass window and hits my face. Someone just opened the curtain, is it Themis?

"Good morning, Your Highness. His Majesty and His Highnesses are looking forward to see you at the dining hall," It's Themis!

"Good morning, Themis!" She faced me and she's smiling widely. Why is she smiling like that? Is there a good news?

"You look happy, Themis," I spoke, and she just snickers before carrying me. I'm already seven but Themis still carries me as if I am still a five year old child.

"Good morning, Master ~ Good morning, Ma'am Themis!" Eri greeted, waving at Themis. My beloved nanny smiled widely at her and wave her hand back.

"Good morning, Eri. It looks like you had great sleep," Eri then floats towards us and then sit on Themis' shoulder.

"Yes, I did! Ma'am Themis looks extremely happy," Eri said, and I nod my head to agree. What's going on? Is there a celebration or what?

"Of course, I feel proud of Her Highness," feel proud? To me? Why?

Wait--

That Asher, did he already spread the word?! What a jerk! He said we'll talk with my family about it first?!

Liar!

I glared at Asher as soon as I entered the dining hall. Why is he here? Is he part of the family now? The audacity!?

Themis put me on my seat and I thanked her, then she leaves right away.

"Good morning, Ali," my brothers greeted in unison. What the--did they practiced that? That was perfect, even the tone and the way they said it.

"Good morning, brothers! Good morning, Dad! Good morning, Asher," I made sure to change the tone of my voice when I greets Asher, because I am not happy to see him right now.

"Ali, we heard from the magician that you have a divine core within your mana core. And it looks like it's sealed...by Iliana," Hmm? Mom sealed it?

Asher mentioned my Godmother yesterday, so I just assume it was her who sealed it.

"But, why would Mom..."

"Anyway, the Astra offered to help by unsealing that core, but we want you to decide, Ali. Do you want to unseal it?" Brother Heli spoke, and why does it feels like they are worried about me?

"The Crown Prince have known about this but kept it hidden for two years," Asher spoke, making everyone here inside the dining hall surprised. Even Brother Heli is shocked, and it looks like he didn't know what to do.

"Yes..." Brother Heli answered, lowering his head.

"It's just, I don't know if I should say it. After all...the very first human to have a divine mana, the 104th Duchess was endangered because of that reason," he added, and everyone's even more worried now, based on the expression on their faces.

"How did you know, Brother Heli?" My third brother asked.

"It was when I first hang out alone with Ali. We went to the maze in our garden," Brother Heli started. Oh, I remember that, the tip of my hair strangely glowed when I stepped on the ground.

"The grasses in our maze are from the Holy Garden..." Brother Aeli mumbled, and our first brother nod his head.

"I think it reacted to Ali's divine mana, because the tip of her hair started glowing when I put her down to the grasses," Eh? That's the reason why my hair glowed that time?! And Brother Heli kept it a secret for two years, wow how strong of him to keep a secret that long.

"It was a right decision too, because if we found out then that Her Highness' divine core is sealed and we try to unseal it, it might affect her body. Her mana was still overflowing back then, without the help of the guardian. Additionally, she hadn't controlled the mana flow yet, once we unseal the divine core, the one overflowing outside her body will be the divine mana instead---which can get attention from the priests, and might make her body explode, since the mana flow is not yet controlled" Asher explained. Wha? My...body...explode?! That sounds really scary! Thank goodness, Brother Heli kept it to himself!

I turned to see Brother Heli's expression, and it looks like he's now relaxed.

I think Asher said that to cheer him up, haha.

"But now it's fine. So, what do you say to my offer, Your Highness?" Asher asked, facing me with a smirk on his face. I think he wants to unseal my divine core.

He told me before that I need to be at least to be 18 to be able to keep the overflowing mana to my own body, and if I forced it to be kept inside my body, it might just explode. Why is everything about my mana can make my body explode?!

That's why I should just let my mana keep overflowing, and let Eri do what she must do.

Anyways, my family seems to refuse the idea of unsealing my divine core. I'm sure they are concern about the fact that I have so much similarities with our ancestor, Felicia Odilia. First was being cursed, became a target of a demon, and now I also have a divine core, just like her.

I'm also worried. Why does it feels like this world just keeps giving me problem after problem? Can't I have a peaceful day? Or is it because I celebrated my birthday for a month, and now the world is compensating me for that one-month happiness that I experienced by giving me more problems? It's not like I don't want to have a divine mana, it's just...it gives me more pressure as a Princess.

The issue with the Western Dukedom is just starting, there's a problem with the curse too and being targeted by a demon, and then there's another one problem within the Central Empire because it looks like some vassals of my Dad are betraying him.

What am I supposed to do now?

Maybe I should focus first on the problem at hand.

"Can...we do that after we caught the Baron?" I asked. The expression on my family's faces becomes brighter, while Asher is looking at me with that smug expression plastered on his annoyingly handsome face.

"Of course. Let's eat first before we talk about Morias' mission,"

That's right, I can't wait to hear Morias' news.
