After darkness had covered Kael's eyes, the next moment he opened them, he found himself in a room, a familiar room.
The soft, mournful toll of a heavy bell echoed inside, while Kael sat on a plush chair with his leg crossed over. Kael's eyes scanned the room; he was back in Morville Castle, and he recognized the entire setting.

Just a few minutes before the King and his consul arrived.
"Do you remember what day it is today?" Kael closed his eyes tiredly when he heard Egor's voice. He didn't need to turn to know the man was standing behind him.
"You have today again at your doorstep. Will your past decision remain the same, or will you have a change of heart?" Egor asked, holding his hood protectively.
Kael remembered exactly what had happened that day. Everard and his ministers would be on their way, and Jacquelyn's mother would die the same day. Everything was unfolding the same way, except there was no Ballister in the castle.
