"Don't be too serious, Beaumont. You really must know that nothing is free. Especially when it comes to magic." She purred and Alexander glared at her.
"We are only asking questions" Damon pointed out and the witch shrugged, ignoring him.
"Wait...how to you know my name?" Alexander asked, his voice skeptical.
"Magic." She replied and Alexander clenched his jaws to prevent himself from saying anymore.
"What price do you want us to pay?" Damon asked again and the witch smirked, her eyes a devilish sight.
"Well, let's just say that you will owe me a favor, your highness." She set the trap.
"No, make it more specific or, we will walk out of here. You are not the only witch in the village." Alexander threatened.
He had had stories of witches coming to collect unnamed favors and they all never ended well.
"Smart." The witch praised but Alexander was unimpressed.
Witches were cunning creatures that couldn't be trusted. Even the devil knew that.
