Eamon chose his next words very carefully.
Saying the wrong thing could hurt Valerion and surely endanger Eros and he didn't want to be held responsible for anyone's pain.
"I came here with you." He answered and Valerion gritted his teeth.
Of course he knew that but he wanted more. Some form of security and reassurance from his mate.
"I know that but it's not because you wanted me. Do you like Eros?" Valerion asked, his voice coming out a little shaky.
Eamon frowned slightly. Where was all this coming from? It had only been a harmless hug but clearly, not to Valerion.
He saw Eros as a love rival.
"No, I don't like him. Not romantically." Eamon assured and Valerion smiled painfully.
"That's not enough to put me at ease and dispel my anger and worries. I want some form of commitment between us, Eamon. Anything. Do you like me?" Valerion asked, his voice a low and exhausted whisper. He could surely be disappointed if he got a negative response from his mate.
