Shika had a bad feeling when he found that both Suigetsu and Haku weren't stationed from where they sent the signal for help, rather they were moving or had been captured. This was the reason Shika was hurrying after them as best he could do.
He directly mounted the giant grey wolf, considering that he was only 14 right now, he felt like he was sitting on a small horse or something. It certainly didn't look strange.
Wolf was doing all the finding and running while Shika was only focused on getting himself ready for a big fight if it came to that. He wasn't in his top condition right now, sleepy and tired, he felt like this could be the worst time for something like this to be happening.
"Are we there yet..." Shika asked the wolf, not sure how long they had travelled so far.
"Wuff.." The wolf just growls and though Shika in all this time has come to understand many of his Shikigami's, still he has yet to attend the level of mutual understanding that he understands a random growl. At least he believed that he wasn't that desperate yet...
Soon they reached a town, but he couldn't enter the place with the wolf, making him purse his lips and sigh. He got down from the wolf's back and un-summoned it, later he went ahead and once again made a dog sign and this time summon just one divine dog.
"Continue..." He said as he took out a scroll to take out some normal-looking casual clothes so that he could pretend a normal traveller entering the village with his dog.
"Wouf..." The dog gave a bark and started tracking again.
Just as he thought, no one stopped him when he pretended to be a traveller with his dog, though many did tell him that no place would take him in with the dog with him. Shika just smiled and avoided the conversation altogether with those guards.
It was your typical bustling town with many visitors and vendors. If not for an emergency then Shika wouldn't have minded to go through the stalls and get something to eat, he was starving.
However, he kept on following his dog which finally took him to a hotel, of course, the staff didn't let the dog enter so he had to enter alone.
"Excuse me, did you have a white hair boy with a beautiful slender girl here recently," walking up to one of the ladies who manage the place, he asked rather than going on a full building screening himself.
"Ah yes, have them just yesterday. They might still be here..." Replied the receptionist but before he could complete her sentence, Shika was gone.
"Sigh, at least that ensures they are safe, let find them and see what they want..." Shika let out a big sigh which even he didn't know that he was holding and entered the establishment.
Looking around for the two boys wasn't hard, he immediately found them. But as soon as he opened the door of their room, his eyes twitched. An extremely irritated look appears on his face because what he saw almost increases his blood pressure.
He saw both the boys sitting leisurely in stylish Japanese clothing, drinking and eating to their heart content while he was here, madly looking for them in his sleepy state.
"Shika," Haku and Suigetsu both almost jumped up upon someone out of the blue opening the gate of their door, if this wasn't Shika then anyone else would have thought that they were couples doing something they shouldn't by their reaction. At least when Haku's looks are concerned.
"I'm sleepy, hungry, haven't gotten time to take a nap and have worked non-stop for 3 days straight. And here I am, not sleeping, on an empty stomach looking for you two bastards.
Quickly give me a good reason why I shouldn't let loose Daddy Raga On you..." He said, his voice was threatening and low and though neither of the boys knew who this Daddy Raga Shika was talking about, the way he said it, they had a very very bad feeling about this guy.
Gulping they looked at each other and with hesitation, started talking.

"Finally got you Teme... why are you running away..." Naruto shouted with big white eyes, even after Chasing Sasuke and Jugo for 20 minutes, which is quite a long distance a trained shinobi could cover in this time, he didn't even look winded, let alone huffing or looking tired.
'Tsk, still the monster when it comes to Stamina...' Sasuke can't help but mutter to himself with a particular irritation coming to him. He was better than Naruto in every regard, but when it came to Chakra and Stamina, this dope idiot had him beaten ten times over.
He looked around, expecting another annoying pink-haired benshee to follow him, however, there was no sign of her. At some point, he wanted to ask where is Sakura but before that, his mind figured out where...
Even he himself was a little tired from running full speed for almost half an hour, all becuase of this stamina monster, of course, the girl was ditched by the loser.
"Hm, why are you following me in the first place," Sasuke sounded irritated and annoyed. He wasn't in the mood to meet anyone from Konoha right now. Not until he finds the truth.
"What! What do you mean why I'm following you? You bastard left the team without even saying a word to us, do you know how much both Kakashi sensei and Sakura-Chan have been worried about you ?" Naruto shouted, again in his usual exaggerated manner, big completely white eyes like he suddenly turned into a Hyuga while his head enlarged like he learned Iruka's big head jutsu. Tick mark on his head while pointing his finger with a full accusing tone.
'Good thing I ran...' Sasuke muttered under his breath, now he started to appreciate the more nonsense-free environment around Shika.
"I'm on a mission, don't you know..." Sasuke replied in a monotone tone, still calm on the outside.
"Of Course, I know that, but why can't you send a message once in a while huh, everyone's worried about you." Naruto's earlier loud demiere started to shake. This was the only reason he couldn't do anything because it was a mission.
Shika told Sasuke that Tsunade didn't make them missing-nin, rather they were on a secret mission.
Naruto though didn't know that, for him, both Sasuke and Shika are on an important mission, this is why he can't just grab the teme here and bring him back to the village with him. Not to mention, this Naruto doesn't have that great of a bond with Sasuke as the most important arc to establish their friendship, the waves arc, didn't happen.
"And what? asked for Lady Hokage to give me Vacation off so that I can come on holiday to meet all of you ?" Sasuke was getting a migraine, in the last year of staying with the Yuguure, he started to expect a degree of mental maturity from the people around him.
Especially Shika spoils him with his high intellect to the point that he feels he is the one lacking in grey matters. And now this idiot, why hasn't he grown even a bit?
"Th-that not," Naruto stumble at this, not having anything else for him to say. "Doesn't matter, just came to the village, you can go to whatever mission you have, later on, it won't take that long..." Naruto started to become frustrated, he loved arguing as long as logic was absent.
"Sigh, that Kakashi isn't doing his job right, are you really a Shinobi Naruto," Sasuke asked with a condescending tone.
"Shinobi who abandon their mission are scum. There is no going back when you become a Shinobi Naruto, orders are absolute..." Sasuke said with a dark tone on his face, remembering what Itachi did to his clan.
Those actions of his brother were also under the direct order of the Third Hokage, Danzo and those elders. If not for knowing that all of them are dead already, he wouldn't have minded visiting Konoha with Naruto to hunt them down himself. However, that wasn't the case anymore, they were gone and his only goal right now was to find Itachi and learn the full truth.
Naruto had nothing to say at this, of course he knew but he wanted Sasuke back. Not sure what to do, he was just planning on fighting it out with Sasuke and dragging him back, consequences be damn.
That was Naruto's Motto.
But before he acted on this dangerous thought, not even remembering who was thinking about beating and taking back, a loud voice broke out behind him.
"Sasuke-Kun..."
A chill rang at Sasuke's back. Suddenly his mind went back to the time when he met himself from the future and learned who he ended up with. He felt like his entire body was on ice, seeing a Pink Head running towards him.
Ever since Sasuke learned about the future, he had nightmares of waking up to a pink-haired woman punching, shouting, and demolishing everything in the nearby locality and he had to pay for destruction and noise pollution.
Worst even, he found the said woman was his wife...
"No.." he almost shouted as he took two steps back.
'Maintain your distance, Sasuke, this is a trap, you are strong now, beat your fate.' Cold sweat ran down Sasuke's forehead before he turned towards Sakura, resisting to open his Sharingan and said.
"Ah Sakura, good that you are there..."
Hearing just this much sent Sakura, who was huffing and catching up for breath, to cloud nine.
'Sasuke Kun missed me...' was her thought.
"Now I don't have to repeat myself. Listen both of you, stop coming after me, both Shika and I are on a dangerous mission. You guys are not strong enough to get involved in something like this," Sasuke glared at both of them.
Of course, hearing this makes Naruto almost burst out but that was when a sharp killing intent was raised against both of them, Sasuke's eyes turn into Sharingan.
Both Naruto and Sasuke shuddered.
"If both of you have time to go on a date like this, then why not train and get stronger..." Sasuke intentionally said it this way.
At these words, both Naruto and Sakura's dazed self, because of the sudden strong killing intent, were gone. Now Naruto was stuttering with a slight blush while a tick mark formed on Sakura's forehead seeing Naruto acting like that and not immediately denying.
"No, Sasuke Kun that's not..." However, Sakura didn't punch Naruto, right now clearing out this dangerous misunderstanding between her and Sasuke Kun was more urgent.
However, once again in between Sasuke stopped her.
"By the way, you two look good together... Naruto takes care of Sakura, she is annoying but still my teammate..." Sasuke was relentless, not giving either of them the time to clarify.
Naruto by now was of course a complete blushing mess while Sakura felt like her life force was getting sucked away.
Her dream of marrying her Sasuke Kun was broken like a glass and the image of Sasuke started to replace with Naruto.
Their dreams of kids with cute black and pink hair are now replaced with idiot blonds making mischief all over the village.
"We are Uzumaki-Haruno Squat, Cha-Dattebayo..." Her entire body shook thinking about this.
'No, I have to stop this, this is not true, that Naruto idiot, out of question, Cha...' This was when her inner self kicked in and saved her.
He was about to retort but that was when Sasuke spoke this.
"By the way you both still need to learn a lot of things, for starters, if you are chasing a shinobi and you finally catch them. The first thing you should do is to check whether they are real..." Sasuke said with a smirk on his face which confused both Naruto and Sakura only for the black-haired boy to pop with a puff of smoke the next second, indicating that it was a clone...
"Shadow Clone, when teme learn that ?"
Both were left speechless…
Sasuke who was still with Jugo, running away got the memories of his clone and muttering with satisfaction.
"Take this one for the team, Dope…"
