"So, who are you guys," Hidan asked with a big smile on his face, he didn't even realise before he was lured away from the entrance of the black market by a Genjutsu.
He knew that he wasn't very talented when it comes being a shinobi. In fact, he wasn't a shinobi at all, all of his powers came from his god Jashin. So things like Genjutsu and this subtle arts work well on him. But again, nothing could really harm him. That was the power of his god Jashin, and the source of why he was always confident.
By the time his Genjutsu was lifted, he saw himself being surrounded by two shinobi.
He could tell that they weren't normal people by just how they stood, how they lured him in with an Illusion, he could tell.
Both the men were hiding their faces behind masks and wearing very similar-looking black coats like the Akatsuki members, it was almost like someone stole the style from their Organization, which was true in many ways.
Shika was no artist, so he went ahead and did what most would do and copied what had already been working for others.
Of course, he changed a few things, like changing that red cloud in normal Akatsuki uniforms and went for different kinds of patterns which could represent the members best.
Kimimaro had a Bamboo design while Guren had shiny crystals. Their masks were also designed to match their uniforms. However, he actually didn't make them, it was all Karin, he gave this small thing to her to keep from occupied and leave him alone to do real work. His only input was suggesting a black coat and that was it.
"We are Yuguure… You are Hidan of the Jashin Cult, right. Mind coming with us." Said one of the man with a calm tone. Making Hidan's mouth curl up, a maniacal smile coming to him.
Unlike others, who would have tried to get more information about this never heard of Yuguure Organization, he didn't care, all he cared about killing and pleasing his god Jashin.
So, before even the talk could formally start, he raised his weapon which was a large scythe and rushed to the man who spoke first.
"Told you, it's better to just attack the man and done with it…" Guren rolled her eyes after seeing Hidan immediately resorting to violence, not even bothering to talk further or gain more information.
"Yeah, Shika's estimate was right, this guy is reckless and bloodthirsty." Kimimaru hmmed to himself with a sigh, he just wanted to check out whether Shika's information held true, that would define their action from there on, handling Hidan wasn't that hard, both of them could capture him easily, what he worried was Kakuzu.
To fight someone like Kakuzu, if the information they had was wrong, it could cost them their life. So, checking out how much of Shika's info stands true was necessary. It had nothing to do with trusting Shika, they both trusted their lazy boss, but checking out the info given to them was important.
Watching Hidan's scythe coming for his neck, Kimimaro acted quickly, strong bones sprouted out of his hands and blocked the red curve blade coming for him.
"Oh, a Kekkei Genkai user." Hidan might not interested in the ninja terminology and didn't bother himself with formal ninja training, but he learned it anyway.
No matter whether he was immortal or not, even he knew that he needed to know his enemies if he wanted to win. Not knowing something about kekkei genkai while he was in Akatsuki was not possible.
Hidan backed off and swung his large scythe towards Kimimaro, but this was when he noticed the other man, as currently, Guren was wearing the coat and mask so it was hard to identify her as a woman, rush at him and from her hand crystals appear, which projectile right at him.
Hidan didn't care about his own injuries, becuase it's not really injuries for him, as long as his body parts were not severed, he was fine. Though this holds true even after he lost a body part, he could sew them back but right now he was in a fight.
So, Hidan just jumped back and avoided the crystals, once again he rotated his large scythe and swung it towards Guren. She easily dodged it and just at that time a bone spike was launched at Hidan from a distance by Kimimaro.
This attack, Hidan couldn't dodge in time and the bone struck in right on the shoulder.
Hidan didn't feel any pain, if anything, he didn't care about that pierced shoulder at all, if not for the obstruction in movement, he wouldn't even care about removing it.
With one hand he grabbed the foreign bone which didn't belong to him and ripped it apart.
But that was when a pink crystal dragon formed in front of him, making that smirk on his face, which didn't falter even after that bone was pierced on his shoulder, finally was gone.
Hidan, not having any particular large-scale jutsu in his arsenal had to dodge the upcoming crystal dragon.
But where Hidan lack in Jutsu and formal ninja training, he more than makes it up in his immortality and physical power.
Somehow he jumped and rolled but dodged the giant pink crystal dragon from devouring himself. This would have been so much easier for him if only he had been fighting only one person. But fighting two strong Shinobi who he knows nothing about was hard.
However, unlike anyone else who would have run away by now, Hidan didn't, part because he knew that Kakuzu would be coming anytime and part because he was never to act by logic but more by what he wanted to do.
People run away because they are afraid of death. But what is death for someone like Hidan?
Seeing the crystal dragon pushing back Hidan, Kimimaro started forming hand signs.
As soon as he was done, bones started to sprout out of the ground, almost impaling Hidan.
However, Hidan reflexes were quite fast, fast enough to dodge the bones coming from the ground.
"Arrr, this is irritating," Hidan grumbled, he was getting overwhelmed by the two shinobi, and knowing he can't go on like this, he planned to directly attack and draw blood from anyone from them.
He knew that drawing blood from that crystal-release shinobi would be hard, with just one contact with that crystal with his scythe, he knew his scythe couldn't break the crystal and thus naturally his target changed to the other shinobi with bone-release.
It wasn't like breaking Kimimaro's bones was easy, but at least those bones can't cover all of Kimimaro's body, unlike the shields from Guren. So there he had a change.
So, he rushed forward and once again swung his long scythe at Kimimaro and this was very similar to what both Guren and Kimimaro thought earlier. This was the reason why they planned for Guren to go after Hidan while Kimimaro himself would handle Kakazu. Of course, that was only when both the Akatsuki members were present right there, however, since they weren't.
"Shinkotsumyaku - Dance of the Willow…"
"Crystal release - Hexagonal Shuriken…"
Both Guren and Kimimaro attacked together, quickly planning to take down Hidan as both knew, just like Shika said, that the real trouble between the immortal duo was Kakuzu. As long as Hidan doesn't draw blood, he is at best a normal Jonin-level threat at most. The biggest trouble when dealing with Hidan is stopping him.
Which Guren here has it covered.
Crystals started to sprout out of the land and rush at Hidan. Hidan quickly backed off but the crystals were faster. Two long crystals impaled him on his leg and slightly slowed him down.
That was when Kimimaro rushed in, to completely stop Hidan was moving and let Guren capture him.
He knew that its already been long enough for Kakuzu to come out. They gave money to the info dealer to delay Kakuzu slightly. However, he knew that a dealer for a little bit of money wouldn't go out of his way and make an enemy out of someone like Kakuzu.
At best, he can delay Kakuzu for a few minutes more than usual.

"Do you have any proof ?" Asked Chomei, and now Shika knew that he should refer to the Biju as her or she.
Sounds strange to him but he didn't mind.
"What more proof you need than this, Rinnegan, my knowledge about Ten-Tails and Sage Of Six Paths, I know the Biju's name. I don't believe that there is anything more I can do, besides bringing the sage himself here, to make you believe…" Shika huffed with slight irritation. For hours he had been trying to make Chomei, the seventh tail, believe that he meant no harm and he was actually trying to help her and Fuu.
However, the Ultra Pro Max size insect was ridiculously suspicious in nature.
"Chomei, I too believe that he isn't lying…" Fuu said, she too looked bored, it was entertaining when Shika was telling the story about the sage of six paths and then the plan of Akatsuki, how they planned to capture all the Biju and revive the ten tails.
It all sounded way too confusing and fancy to her to the point she considered the majority of it a story and took it like someone was telling a bedtime story to her.
"Okay, but even if you are telling the truth, how do you plan to help us ?" Chomei finally asked, though she still didn't believe Shika, but right now after all these proofs given by him, she had no option but to believe at least the fact that he wasn't lying about the Akatsuki.
"Well, I planned to take Fuu with me, but not against her will. So, I can only ask both of you to believe me this once and come with me.
I can't stay here forever, I can't save you if Akatsuki comes after you…" Shika said, true to his words, he wasn't planning on taking Fuu with force, if she refused then he could only leave a way to contact him to her and leave to find other Jinchuriki.
