Chapter 677 - Tailed Beast Rampage

The sisters Kaguya encountered in the small town turned out to be Monet and Sugar—members of the Donquixote Family under Doflamingo in the original storyline. This revelation took Kaguya by surprise.

She hadn't rescued the sisters out of any grand plan. It was simply because she loathed the bakery owner's bullying and abuse of power. The sight of the two girls, starving and freezing, was pitiful. If she had turned a blind eye, they might not have survived the night.

That was what prompted her to help them. She had no idea they were Monet and Sugar.

If their original fate hadn't been disrupted, they would have likely been discovered by Doflamingo and recruited into his ranks. But a few years earlier, Kaguya had severely beaten Doflamingo—nearly feeding him to the fishes—and casually looted his fortune and Devil Fruits.

Among the stolen items were the Yuki Yuki no Mi (Snow-Snow Fruit) and the Hobby-Hobby Fruit.

Because of Kaguya's intervention, Doflamingo's life path was completely derailed, and naturally, so were Monet and Sugar's. That likely explained why they were still wandering the streets when she found them.

In a sense, Kaguya might have been the direct cause of their misfortune.

Not that she'd ever admit that out loud, of course.

Over a month passed. Under Shirley's meticulous care, Monet and Sugar gradually regained their health. Their physical conditions improved significantly, and the pale look on their faces gave way to a healthy blush. Dressed in maid uniforms, they now looked cute and charming—nothing like the ragged girls from before.

"Master! Master!" Sugar came running with a toy bear in hand, happily showing it off to Kaguya. "Look, I caught this toy!"

"Sugar, don't bother Master," Monet chided gently.

"Good girl," Kaguya said warmly, patting Sugar on the head. "Our Sugar is amazing."

Sugar giggled and stuck her tongue out playfully at her sister.

"You'll spoil her if you keep this up," Monet sighed softly.

"Isn't that what little girls are for?" Kaguya chuckled. "Besides, she's at the age where playing is natural. A little liveliness is good."

"Exactly!" Sugar snuggled into Kaguya's arms, smiling cheekily.

"'Exactly,' my foot." Kaguya flicked her finger against Sugar's forehead. "You still have to listen to your sister, understand?"

Sugar pouted. "Fine. I get it."

"But your control over your ability has really improved," Kaguya said, picking up the toy bear. But when she glanced at it, her expression froze.

She cleared her throat. "Where did you catch this bear?"

"Huh?" Sugar blinked her big eyes innocently. "In the courtyard. Why?"

Kaguya's eyelid twitched. She narrowed her gaze. "Really?"

Sugar's face changed instantly. Clutching her stomach, she said, "Oh no! My tummy hurts! I need to go to the bathroom!"

She dropped the bear and bolted.

"Told you not to spoil her," Monet said with a gentle smile.

"Ahem," Kaguya cleared her throat and picked up the toy bear from the floor. "Still, it's important to pamper children. Everyone deserves a happy childhood, don't you think?"

"Childhood?" Monet shook her head lightly. "That's a luxury I never had."

Kaguya smiled. "But from now on, you'll have a much better life, won't you?"

Monet's lips curved into a gentle smile.

"Though I'll admit, what she did was a little much," Kaguya said as she toyed with the bear.

"I'll make sure to teach her properly," Monet nodded.

Kaguya placed her hand on the bear. A pure energy surged into its body. With a flash of white light, the bear twisted and transformed—soon turning into a young woman. It was Charlia.

As soon as she returned to her human form, Charlia exploded in outrage. "Unbelievable! That brat turned me into a toy! I won't let her get away with this!"

"You must've said something to offend her," Kaguya said with a chuckle.

"I did not!" Charlia declared firmly. But upon seeing Kaguya's amused smirk, her face flushed with embarrassment. "Okay fine, I might've called her a little beggar or something..."

"Alright, stop whining. I've got a job for you," Kaguya said, pulling an envelope from her sleeve.

...

In the dark, damp dungeon, a man was chained to the wall. Thick iron shackles bound him, and his body was covered in wounds—clearly the result of intense torture. He was none other than Judge, head of the Vinsmoke family.

Kaguya descended the stairs slowly and stood in front of him. "So? How do you like the special cell I arranged just for you? Comfortable enough? You should feel honored—this is the first time my dungeon has hosted a guest."

Judge raised his head, his teeth clenched as he snarled, "Despicable…! You vile…!"

"Just the pitiful howling of the weak," Kaguya replied coldly. "The louder you shout, the uglier you look."

"You'll never die in peace!" Judge roared, eyes bloodshot with rage.

"Oh, I'll go to hell, for sure," Kaguya said coolly. "But what does that have to do with you?"

"I'll kill you! I'll—!" Judge howled, yanking at his chains.

Without a word, Kaguya stepped forward and, with lightning speed, drove a black rod straight through his throat.

Judge's eyes bulged as he vomited a mouthful of blood.

"You're just a pathetic worm," Kaguya sneered. "You never understood the difference in our strength. I can't tell if you're ignorant or just plain stupid. But don't worry—I won't kill you just yet. That would be far too kind."

She turned to leave.

Judge gritted his teeth, eyes burning with fury as he struggled helplessly against the chains.

"Oh right," Kaguya said, pausing as she glanced back. "Didn't you have a few sons? Don't worry—they'll be joining you soon enough."

Judge's pupils shrank sharply in horror.

...

Meanwhile, across the world, unknown creatures began appearing suddenly. They were massive and came in various forms, each possessing terrifying, unimaginable power. A casual swipe of their claws could demolish buildings, and the black orbs they spewed could obliterate entire cities.

Armies were powerless against them. Even naval battleships sent to intervene were torn apart like toys. Cannon fire left not even a mark, and bullets were nothing more than a tickle.

At first, people thought they were some kind of Sea Kings, but Sea Kings never possessed such overwhelming might. Compared to these mysterious creatures, Sea Kings were like inflatable dolls—utterly defenseless.

In just a few short months, several nations and cities had been wiped out by these beasts.

These unknown entities were the Tailed Beasts.

When Kaguya heard the news, she was livid—ready to explode. She wanted nothing more than to drag those creatures back and give them a good beating.

She had released them to secretly gather Devil Fruits, not to wreak havoc.

Who would've thought they'd behave like a pack of hyperactive huskies let off the leash—creating chaos everywhere while completely forgetting their mission.

The rampant destruction caused by the Tailed Beasts naturally attracted the attention of the World Government and the Navy Headquarters. A crisis meeting was immediately convened, and the Navy dispatched their strongest forces to participate in the eradication effort—including Kaguya herself.

Shortly after returning to headquarters, Kaguya was notified that she would be heading to the incident site aboard a battleship.

Even the usually composed Fleet Admiral Sengoku was in a frenzy, urgently deploying naval units. The destruction must have been truly severe.

Once she calmed down, Kaguya realized this situation might not be such a bad thing after all. In fact, it gave her a bold new idea.

If this world was so peaceful, then she would be the one to stir it up.

"Wow! I can't believe we're being deployed with Admiral Kaguya this time! This is amazing!"

"Yeah! Admiral Kaguya is so cool!"

"She's beautiful, incredibly strong—so enviable."

"With Admiral Kaguya here, we've got nothing to worry about."

"This is the best!"

The female soldiers aboard the battleship looked at the silver-haired girl on the deck with starry eyes. Their excitement was palpable—they were practically squealing with joy.

Normally, all three Navy Admirals had their own fleets and subordinates. But since Kaguya had been promoted through special circumstances, she hadn't had time to form her own fleet yet. For now, she was traveling aboard Vice Admiral Tsuru's ship and working alongside her.

Tsuru's fleet had one notable trait: the entire crew was composed almost exclusively of women. Even the maintenance crew were all female—male faces were a rare sight aboard.

When Kaguya first stepped on board and saw the group of chirping girls, she almost thought she'd walked into Amazon Lily.

On the warship's deck—

"Hyah!"

"Hah!" Rebecca shouted, stepping forward with lightning speed. Her body and blade became one, turning into a blur as her sword thrust straight toward Kaguya.

Kaguya didn't even look. She casually flicked her hand, and with a sharp clang, the scabbard she held perfectly intercepted the strike.

Rebecca didn't falter. She pivoted smoothly and launched another strike—this time aiming directly at Kaguya's neck.

But once again, her attack missed. Kaguya tilted her head slightly, easily dodging the blade.

Rebecca slid to Kaguya's back and leaped, aiming a precise stab at her rear.

But Kaguya, as if anticipating it all along, raised her scabbard behind her without looking, once again blocking the attack with ease.

Just then, Rebecca's eyes narrowed in focus. Instead of retreating, she stepped forward, closing the gap between them. Her body bent into an almost impossible arc, and with a flick of her wrist, she reversed her grip on the sword, turning it into a dagger-like slash aimed directly at Kaguya's throat.

Gasps erupted from the female marines on the ship. The technique defied swordsmanship logic—it looked more like an assassination technique than a proper sword strike. But there was no doubt the fluidity and transformation made it incredibly deadly.

Just before the strike could land, Kaguya's scabbard once again swept upward.

Clang!

The blade spun into the air. Rebecca was knocked backward, crashing hard onto the deck. Her sword clattered beside her.

Lying flat on the ground, Rebecca was drenched in sweat, panting heavily. Her chest heaved with exhaustion, and her thin clothing was soaked through, faintly revealing the pale skin beneath.

"Not bad," Kaguya said, sheathing her scabbard. "To improve this much in such a short time is impressive."

She wasn't just offering praise. Rebecca had indeed progressed rapidly. In just a short period, she had reached the level of a Marine major—an incredible pace, even by Navy Headquarters' standards.

Rebecca gave a tired nod, too exhausted to speak after such intense sparring.

Just then, Ain rushed over and said, "Sensei, Vice Admiral Tsuru is looking for you. She wants to speak with you in the cabin."

Kaguya raised an eyebrow.

She didn't have much of a relationship with Tsuru—just a few nods in passing. They weren't particularly close. What could she want now?

"Alright," Kaguya said. "Tell her I'll be there shortly."

"Oh, and, Sensei..." Ain's face turned a little red. "Have you thought about it?"

"Thought about what?" Kaguya turned to her, puzzled.

"You know… that thing," Ain said, fidgeting shyly.

"What thing?" Kaguya looked more confused.

"That thing!" Ain said, flustered.

"Which thing exactly?" Kaguya said flatly. "If you don't say what it is, how am I supposed to know what you're talking about?"

This was turning into a tongue twister.

With her cheeks bright red, Ain bit her lip and whispered, "The full-chested thing you mentioned..."

"Huh?"
