Despite the army being in complete disarray, Pete forcibly calmed himself down and observed the situation with a cool head.
He knew that he must not panic now, otherwise not only his troop would face annihilation, but the whole of North Aisier would face a dreadful threat.
After a brief moment of consideration, Pete waved his Silver Sword in the roaring tumult and shouted with all his might: "Full speed retreat! This is not a monster we can fight!"
He gritted his teeth and roared again: "Afal, take fifty men and head southwest! We'll split up and make sure the message of the Ashen Empire's attack reaches Lord Walter!"
"Yes, Captain!"
The officer dressed in shining silver armor waved his riding whip, jerked the reins, and turned his horse, leading his elite Cavalry towards the right, heading into a narrower valley to the southwest.
