"Why did you follow me?"
Those were the first words to come out of her mouth. After what had happened in that forest, Conrad expected something a lot worse—something like swearing or telling him to go away.
The reaction he was seeing right now just confused him. To make matters worse, she kept repeating those words. Each repetition pierced deeper than the last, her words were trembling with pain she couldn't contain any longer.
The question was, what could cause her to be so expressive all of a sudden? Fortunately, that was about to be answered in the next instance.
Krista continued, shaking her head.
"You shouldn't have, not after what I did to you in the entrance exam…after how I treated you, you have every right to ignore me. You could've pretended I didn't exist…and I wouldn't have blamed you, no would have blamed you"
