Chapter 143 - Past

As Conrad slowly laid his head onto the soft and semi-comfy bed, he closed his eyes slightly. He took a breath and exhaled, waiting for Elsa's inevitable attack. 

"Please understand. You almost killed my daughter. As a mother, I cannot allow that to go unpunished"

She spoke but Connie didn't pay her any heed. He merely rested comfortably on the bed. 

As if responding in kind to his nonchalant attitude, a sharp whoosh cut through the air, just missing his ear. He didn't even flinch.

Another cut grazed his hair, but that still wasn't even to make him flinch. 

It was strange. He hadn't moved an inch from where he was lying, the woman launched two attempts at him, yet none of them did anything to him. 

'Is she serious?'

Connie peeked to get a look at her. Elsa's gentle and concerned expression was gone, replaced by a wild grin and a frightening glint of murder in her violet eyes. 

Her pristine white lab fluttered as she darted around him like a predator mid-breakdown.
