Yamaguchi Sachiko returned to her room, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face.
Before long, a knock sounded from the door. She hastily wiped her tears away and approached the door, thinking perhaps Frank had changed his mind. With this thought, she hurried forward, convinced he would agree.
But when she joyfully opened the door, the face that appeared was another's.
John lowered the plane ticket in his hand respectfully before her and said, "Madam, this is the ticket Mr. President asked me to book for your return to Japan tomorrow morning."
"Then... what about him?" she asked, her gaze on John filled with anticipation.
"Mr. President said he does not have time to accompany you back, and the bodyguards who often accompany you will also go back with you," John's voice, flat and emotionless, merely repeated Frank's words.
Listening to him, her eyes immediately dimmed, and in silence she took the tickets from his hand, then closed the door.
