Unlike his previous demeanor, he now seemed more dangerous. The BMW guy saw things were going sour and could only turn around and leave.
Dongfang Ling was speechless about such people. Turning her head, although she could have handled the situation even if the man hadn't appeared, she still spoke, since he did help her out of kindness:
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. I simply couldn't stand by and do nothing when I saw injustice," he replied matter-of-factly.
Seeing him talking as if reciting scripture, Dongfang Ling couldn't help but laugh.
The man looked at her curiously, not understanding what she found so amusing.
"I think you are just like one of those heroes in martial arts dramas, especially the kind that live in seclusion." Then, Dongfang Ling bowed slightly: "May I ask what the name of this hero is?"
With that, the man also broke into a smile.
His smile was warm and pleasant, his demeanor elegant and gentle, clearly the kind of person who was easy to get along with.
