Demo and the group are all sitting in Braverte's living room. Diwena has come out as well and is sitting in the corner holding his big blade. Demo is once again throwing a small rock up and catching it repeatedly. Cleus is sitting in a lotus pose on the ground as he is trying to fully recover the energy he has lost.
"I can't believe the zombies were made to become mindless puppets. Who would be capable of doing something like this? And being able to manipulate this school to such a degree."
Ten has activated Mai to help with some of the gaps in the information they have.
"The true mastermind behind it is still beyond my grasp. But I have found several instances where they changed the history of this world. Their influence also reached the political sphere of this world. It seems that the president of this planet has been seen with several possible members of Chayil."
"Braverte said there is someone who manages this place. Have you found who that manager is?"
"I went through the database of several government institutions and cross-referenced them with pictures taken with faculty and students at this school. There were several people who overlapped. But there were only 5 people whose background was manufactured."
Mai then creates a hologram showing the 5 people she has found.
My-Ty, Cleus, and Demo at the same time point at the screen and simultaneously talk.
"I know him."
Ten is surprised at the fact that this supposedly hidden character is so well known.
"How do you all know him?"
Demo stops throwing his pebble.
"I met him at the gym when I was learning how to Cover-Up. He didn't seem all that dangerous. Just looked like a weirdo in an expensive suit."
My-Ty looks at the picture intently.
"He visited me while I was training. Told me that I had potential and that he would love to sponsor me."
Demo looks at My-Ty.
"What did you say?"
"I don't need a sponsor. All I need is time, diligence, and practice. Trust the process, and perfection will come."
Cleus is recalling the times he met Castitas.
"I met him a few times. I always thought it was strange that he addressed me by my proper royal name instead of the name I go by. I just figured he was a spy sent by the traitor. He always complimented me on my ability to learn and grow as a fighter. Even though I kept my growth a secret. He also once mentioned my grandfather in a way that made it feel like he had done business with him."
Ten can tell that Castitas wasn't moving arbitrarily but had a clear goal.
"Seems like he was scouting you guys. Do you think he was the one who trained Sachem?"
My-Ty's eyes are still focused on the picture.
"It could be, but based on how Castitas moved and how Sachem fought, I don't think so. Castitas' body was skinny and frail, I don't think he would be fit to teach a brawler like Sachem."
Mai continues his explanation.
"Now that we have found a definite link, I will try to further delve into this person's background and connections."
Ten looks at his palm.
"Thank you, Mai."
Braverte and Pulmo have called the authorities to the scene. They showed the police and army the laboratory and the production factory, and the distribution center. Braverte and Pulmo are standing next to each other as they see the police and army scurry around, going over all the evidence. Braverte does seem slightly troubled, even though he reached his goal.
"I thought solving this would bring some peace to those in a coma and their families. But we might have made it worse. I don't think the signal from this school is the only one. I'm pretty sure that their god has a backup signal. And if he pushes that button, he could take over this world as long as he keeps us two busy."
"Kill them?"
"No, killing innocent people just because they had an addiction is wrong. It's not their fault they were turned into possible mindless soldiers. We just have to find a way to stop the signal from reaching them. Or find god and take the signal from him."
"God's identity?"
"I have an idea, but I don't want it to be true. If their god is who I think it is, this means a war that will encompass this whole dimension. I want to prevent that. But I might have to mend a few bridges to make it possible. But for now, we should go to parliament and tell all these dumb politicians that they will have something new to talk about for the next couple of years."
"Change takes time."
"If only we had that."
In a very distant world, far removed from the planet of Hominidae, a diamond shatters into pieces. The diamond was placed in a bracelet that had several other diamonds in it. The bracelet the arm was on is raised, and it's Castitas. He is shocked at the fact that Sachem has died.
"Hmm … Was it the new kid with that amazing energy source in him? Or did Braverte finally snap and go back to his old ways? It could mean that Bilicus and Strils are gone too. God will not be happy with this. Once I wrap things up here, I will have to do a proper check."
Castitas is standing on top of a tower and looking down on a foreign land at war. Screams fill the air, and blood darkens the land. The soldiers are wielding blades and spears and are shooting arrows to kill the other side.
"Seems I am going to have to hurry things up here. Too bad, it was just getting good."
Castitas jumps down from the tower with a smile on his face as he is about to create some real mayhem. Strils has found his way to a ship and has left Hominidae, He still has bags of MYOS with him.
"I think I am going to have to deliver this to him if I want to keep my life."
