Chapter 2 - chapter 2

The past few days had been uneventful—filled with mundane chores and idle relaxation. Despite my monstrous talent, I hadn't bothered cultivating, content to linger at the peak of the Body Tempering Realm. But today, I decided it was time to delve into the **Pure Yang Secret Art** from the Great Demon God's Tome—the enigmatic black book that held unimaginable power.

I made my way to the **Cliff of the Destitute Ravine**, a secluded spot where yang energy leaked from the earth like an untapped vein. Sitting cross-legged, I began my cultivation. The moment I activated the technique, my body **devoured** the surrounding yang qi like a starving infant suckling at its mother's breast. The sheer force of my absorption was so overwhelming that the natural flow of energy couldn't keep up.

*Not enough.*

Sensing the deficit, I tapped into my **Inner Universe**, drawing yang qi directly from its boundless reserves. Minute particles condensed in my dantian, coalescing into shimmering droplets. One. Two. Three. A hundred formed in mere minutes before I grew bored and ceased.

Just then, I detected a presence—**Elder Yang**, watching me with veiled curiosity. Though I recognized him, I played my part.

**"Disciple Yang Kai greets Elder."**

He acknowledged me with a noncommittal **"Mm."**

**"How may I address you, Elder?"**

**"Eleventh Elder will suffice."**

Our exchange followed the script of the original timeline before he departed, leaving me to retreat to my humble hut.

As I walked, my thoughts churned.

*Hm. When I spoke with the Sect Master earlier, I sensed that defeating him wouldn't be difficult—just tedious. By that measure, I should already be capable of contending with **Transcendent Realm cultivators**.*

My **sensory perception** stretched across the planet, revealing its vastness—**five times larger than Earth**. Yet, my detection skills weren't refined enough to evade the notice of this world's true powerhouses.

Still, I could **teleport anywhere** on this planet with a mere thought, bending space to my will.

During my observations, I witnessed **murders, betrayals, and unspeakable crimes**. The brutality left a bitter taste, but I found myself **adapting**—perhaps a side effect of my growing strength.

### **The Golden Body's Evolution**

Back in my hut, I sat cross-legged, sensing a shift in my **Golden Skeleton**. Focusing inward, I beheld the changes—**a deep violet-gold hue** now suffused the bones, pulsing with newfound power.

*The Shadow Emperor's influence.*

I had expected it, but not this quickly. The skeleton was now **twice as strong** as when I first arrived in this world.

### **A Chance Encounter in the Black Wind Woods**

Days later, while wandering the forest, I stumbled upon a **brutal spectacle**—a group surrounding a bloodied Su Mu, with Chen Shao Feng standing over him, a jagged rock in hand.

*Ah. A canon event.*

I had no personal stake in this, but **Su Yan's** future connection made it worth intervening.

**"Young Master Su!"**

The shout snapped me into action. In an instant, I was beside Chen Shao Feng, wrenching the stone from his grip. My **cold glare** sent him scrambling back like a startled cat.

*Why did I feel like death itself stared at me?* he must have thought, shaking off the dread.

**"Are you from High Heaven Pavilion?"** he demanded, recovering his bravado.

**"Yes."**

**"Good! Another fool seeking a beating!"** he sneered, signaling his lackeys. **"Crush him!"**

I smirked. Against my **Transcendent-level physique**, these ants were nothing. No qi, no techniques—just **raw strength**.

A single punch **caved in** the first attacker's ribs. A palm strike sent the second flying. The third collapsed, wheezing, before he could even swing.

Provoked by Hu Mei'er's taunts, Chen Shao Feng **drew his sword**, charging with reckless fury.

I **flicked** the blade's tip.

***Crack!***

The sword **shattered**, leaving only the hilt in his trembling grip. Before he could react, my **backhanded slap** sent him spinning to the ground, unconscious, his face swollen like an overripe fruit.

Hu Mei'er paled.

**"Are you with them?"** I asked, tone icy. **"Because I believe in gender equality."**

She shook her head frantically. **"N-No! I wasn't!"**

I let the lie slide, turning to Su Mu. **"Can you walk?"**

He nodded weakly.

### **Meeting Su Yan**

Days later, Su Mu invited me to the **Black Wind Marketplace**, leading me to High Heaven Pavilion's residence—where **Su Yan** awaited.

The moment I saw her, time seemed to **stop**.

*Gods above.*

Her beauty **eclipsed** any supermodel from my past life—**porcelain skin, piercing eyes, an aura of regal grace**.

She towered over Su Mu, scolding him before fixing me with a scrutinizing gaze.

**"You defeated Chen Shao Feng?"**

*Defeated? More like obliterated.*

**"Yes, Senior Sister."**

She nodded. **"Your potential exceeds my brother's. A word of advice—stay away from him."**

I offered a wry smile but said nothing.

### **The Ambush**

On my return, I sensed **Hu Mei'er tailing me**—along with two familiar presences: **Chen Shao Feng and Nu Tao**.

*Persistent pests.*

I sighed, stopping abruptly.

**"Miss, why follow me?"**

She emerged, flustered. Before she could speak, the two aggressors appeared, blades drawn.

**"Step aside, Mei'er,"** Chen Shao Feng spat. **"This doesn't concern you."**

Nu Tao smirked. **"Wouldn't want you hurt."**

Hu Mei'er tried to warn me, but I **vanished**.

***CRACK!***

My fist **caved in Nu Tao's skull** before he could blink. His corpse hit the dirt with a dull thud.

Chen Shao Feng **screamed**, begging for mercy.

**"Spare me! I was wrong! I—"**

I silenced him **permanently**.

Hu Mei'er stood frozen, trembling.

**"A-Are you… a True Element Realm cultivator?"** she whispered.

I arched a brow. **"Why do you think that?"**

**"Y-You manipulated yuan qi externally… only True Element cultivators can do that!"**

I neither confirmed nor denied. **"You're an accomplice now. Stay silent."**

She nodded **furiously**, her earlier bravado gone.

With a wave, I **disposed of the bodies** in the river, weights ensuring they'd never resurface.

As I walked away, I couldn't help but smirk.

*This world won't know what hit it.*
