"Speaking of power," Marcus said, his gaze returning to the pool, "you mentioned the chamber responds to needs. How far does that extend? What exactly is it capable of?"
Thalia's expression grew thoughtful. "The chamber's capabilities are vast, but not unlimited. It cannot alter the fundamental nature of reality or reverse what has been truly lost. But within those boundaries..." She gestured, and the pool's surface began to ripple again, this time forming a series of complex, interlocking patterns that resembled some form of ancient writing.
"Is that some kind of instruction manual?" Kai asked, peering at the symbols with obvious fascination. "Please tell me it includes a section on how to make this place produce chocolate lava cake."
Thalia's lips curved upward. "Not exactly. These are the original symbols of creation used by the Architects who designed this chamber. They describe the fundamental principles that govern its operation."
