Chapter 274 - Chapter 284 Pursuit

It didn't take long for Carl to find Bucephalus still lying on the ground, his black tail swinging back and forth, and he didn't know if he was still sleeping.

"Hey, man, don't sleep anymore. The sun is shining on your butt." Carl walked over and lay directly on him.

With its own weight, it would not cause Bucephalus any discomfort.

After all, he was only a little over a hundred pounds, while Bucephalus probably weighed a thousand pounds, a real behemoth.

Bucephalus raised his head, snorted in dissatisfaction, and then shook his body, as if trying to shake Carl off, but after shaking a few times and failing, he gave up, lowered his head again, and opened his mouth as if he was yawning.

"You should go to bed early and get up early, don't you? Why are you staying up all night? Are you going to harm some mare?"

Bucephalus ignored Carl, and Carl didn't care. He lay on Bucephalus, squinting his eyes and looking at the sky.

In summer, only the early morning sunshine is pleasant, so enjoy it while you can.

"Bucephalus, it's time for you to go out and see the scenery outside. Although it is dangerous, it is exactly what we want to conquer."

Ka kept muttering to himself while enjoying the sunshine, not caring whether Bucephalus could understand him or not. He just kept muttering.

"Childish." A much taller girl stood in front of Bucephalus.

Karl turned over and said in a lazy tone:

"Don't stand on the east side, you're blocking my sun. Also, it's fine if you call me childish, but if you dare to call Bucephalus childish, he will hold a grudge and might give you a hoof at any time."

"Hmph, Bucephalus and I are on good terms, he won't kick me." Liz snorted, let go of her position, walked to Bucephalus' head, squatted down and scratched Bucephalus' head.

"Have you done your morning homework?" Carl asked softly.

"I did, or I would have come earlier," Liz responded obediently.

"Well, that's good. Just like I advocated, getting up early is a very good habit. Morning is also the golden time for learning. Remember to practice shooting after playing for a while."

"I have a question."

"ask."

Liz turned her head and looked at Carl, "Why are you so strict with me? You never asked Sofia and Mika to learn anything."

"Don't you want to?" Carl also yawned.

"No, I'd love to, I'm just curious."

"Like I told Sofia, don't have any illusions. I care about you only because if I don't care about you, you will be in danger. It's not your fantasy. Don't think too much."

"Of course, I know." Liz smiled, then lowered her head and devoted herself to scratching Bucephalus' neck.

Karl frowned slightly. Liz has changed a lot now, just like himself. She can now completely hide her thoughts, at least most of the time.

She also seemed much more lively, cheerful and well-behaved, but that was just an appearance. Many times, Carl felt that he could not fully grasp Liz's thoughts.

This was not a good sign. Carl didn't know whether Liz's influence on him had changed anything inside his heart, other than the superficial changes.

"Hey, Carl, Liz, good morning, and of course, Bucephalus."

Carl raised his head and looked in the direction where the voice came from. It was Michonne. Michonne also had the habit of getting up early and jogging in the morning.

"Hey, good morning Michonne. Are you tired from running?" Carl smiled.

"Michonne, good morning." Liz also gave a sweet smile and greeted.

"A little. Maybe I should take a break. Have you had breakfast?" Michonne slowed down and walked towards the two of them.

"I've eaten. Let's put today's classes on hold for now. I have something to do." Carl said with a smile.

"Courses? Actually, you have almost mastered them. There is no need to continue practicing." Michonne stretched and began to do body stretching exercises.

"You'll become rusty if you don't practice for too long. Well, actually I miss your knife." Carl chuckled.

"Karl, don't worry about my knife. At least I can't give it to you now."

"Of course I know. I just like it. The knife belongs to you, and I won't take it. It's a pity that I haven't found a good knife yet."

"There have been many, and they have brought some back."

"But none of them can compare to yours."

"I feel like you're still thinking about her." Michonne looked at Carl and smiled.

Carl climbed up from Bucephalus and said as he stretched his muscles, "It would be a lie to say that I don't miss you, but I don't have much use for you."

"Want to run together for a while? Warm up?" Michonne asked.

"Of course, otherwise why would I stretch my muscles?" Carl nodded, then turned to Liz and said, "Go practice shooting by yourself later. You can move freely after completing the task."

"Okay." Liz nodded and agreed obediently.

"Let's go and warm up." Carl looked at Michonne.

Michonne nodded and got into position, "Follow me, man."

"I will." Karma took a step and ran out first without waiting for Michonne.

It is an indisputable fact that I can't run faster than Michonne. After all, I am still at least ten years away from the peak of my physical condition.

Carl's speed is not fast, and running is not about escaping. It does not require extreme sprinting, but endurance. In the past year or so, Carl has exercised with Michonne a lot, so he is naturally familiar with it.

Michonne also kept a steady pace as she followed Carl, breathing steadily, "Another meeting today? Do you know what it's about?"

"I know." Carl nodded slightly.

"How many meetings is this?"

"The fifth time." Carl knew that Michonne was not asking but wanted to say it, but he still chose to answer.

"It's been about a year and a half, and there have only been four formal all-staff meetings like this, and if I remember correctly, you were the one who proposed it every time."

"This time is no exception." Carl nodded.

"Carl." Michonne suddenly grabbed Carl and stopped running at a steady pace.

"What's wrong?" Carl tilted his head and looked at Michonne with some confusion.

"I can't understand why you seem obsessed with power." Michonne frowned and said, "At your age, you shouldn't be thinking about these things, but if you put aside the inherent prejudice of your age, it seems obvious that you are obsessed with power."

"No, it's not that I'm obsessed with power, but I feel that it would be better if power is in my hands."

"Better for whom?"

"world."

"You haven't given up your idea yet?" Michonne frowned even more tightly.

"Of course, I'll never give up." Carl looked at Michonne seriously.

"Human life is actually very short, just a few decades, so what is the meaning of our existence?

Pleasure? Fame? Love? Friendship? Family?

No, I don't deny that they are meaningful, but I think there are things that are more meaningful than them, such as

Pursue.

If I don't have the ability, the former is my purpose and I will exist for this, but if I have the ability, then why not?"
