After Ellery let everyone know of his and Aster's decision, the door to the Beast God's room opened up.
It had been a couple of hours since the Beast God closed the door on them, but it was their first time seeing Adel in person.
Adel was wearing a similar outfit to the Beast God, but it was more formfitting, showing off her curves. She looked like a statue of a beautiful Goddess, but she had some masculine features, like her flat chest and sharp jawline. Her black wavy hair was long and shiny, showing she cared for it. Overall, she was an androgynous beauty that ignored all beauty standards.
The Beast God and Adel were standing at the entrance of the room. Adel leaned comfortably in the Beast God's embrace.
They had heard what Ellery and Aster talked about, so the Beast God was ready to get started the moment Ellery told his family and friends about their decision. He forgot that he told them to knock when they were done.
"I think it's very brave that you two decided to separate your souls so Aster could have his own body. Still, are you sure you are willing to risk both of your lives for this?" The Beast God decided to ask one last time, just to see if their determination would waver.
"Yes, Beast God, we are sure. We are willing to risk it because we believe we will survive." Ellery answered for the both of them with determination in his eyes.
"That determination is good to have. Remember it, and don't forget about it as you two go through the process of separating your souls," The Beast God said while motioning everyone to follow him.
The Beast God, with Adel walking beside him, led them to a room that was down the hall. When he opened the large wooden doors, everyone could see an altar with his and Adel's statue. All around the statue, colorful flowers of different shapes and sizes seemed to dance together in the room, hoping to bathe in the graces of the Beast God and Adel.
"Ellery, the process of separating a soul from your soul and body will be painful, but it will be 10 times worse for Aster. He has to leave your body and settle in a new body, which can make it seem like his soul is being ripped apart." The Beast God and Adel stepped to the side so Ellery could enter the room. "You might grow soft and not want Aster to be in pain, but he has to go through it, or there will be backlash from my divine powers. That's why, there's a 50% chance that you both will fail."
Adel felt a little bad for Ellery and Aster, so she grabbed Ellery's hand and gave them her blessing. "I believe that the two of you will make it. Stay strong, and no matter what, don't look back, even if it gets painful, okay?" The latter part of her sentence was mostly for Aster.
"Thank you, Adel and Beast God, for helping us."
"No need to thank us. Just survive."
When Ellery stepped inside, the Beast God stopped Akimitsu, Edros, Orin, and Darya at the door. "You lot are not allowed inside. If they are successful, it will take up to a week, so say your goodbyes here. I will allow you all to hug outside this room if needed."
Hearing this, Ellery left the room and brought Orin into a hug first. This was his brother, the one he finally found, so he wanted to hug him first.
"Take care and stay strong, Ellery. You too, Aster." Orin gave him a tight hug. "We will be waiting for you, so you have to keep moving forward and not give up."
"Hmm… We will stay strong. Take care of Darya, okay?"
"You…" He wanted to say how dare his little brother worry about his relationship when it was going strong, but he knew he meant that he should make up for lost time. Orin patted his head. "I will. I will take good care of her. I promise."
"That's good; I will hold you to that promise."
After hugging Orin, he gave Darya a tight hug, telling her to take care of herself and let Orin take good care of her.
"I will, so you have to come back. You two have to come back…" Darya finally couldn't hold in her tears and cried on his shoulder. "We will be waiting for you. We will be cheering you on from out here."
"We will…" Ellery felt like crying, but he had to stay strong.
Once Darya finished crying, Ellery gave Akimitsu a tight hug. He didn't want to let go.
Akimitsu was already crying while he hugged Ellery. He was scared, but he didn't want to entertain the thought of Ellery and Aster not making it.
"I love you, Ellery." He gave a soft kiss on Ellery's forehead. "When you two have successfully separated, let's get married and live a long and happy life together. If you want kids, we can have kids. If you don't want kids, that's okay too. I will be with you forever, no matter what."
"I would love that, Akimitsu. We also have to travel together and see many different planets together. I want you accompany you on all the trips you plan and take a lot of pictures… I love you so much."
Their hug was long, but no one said anything. The two love birds needed time to themselves. That was something the Beast God and Adel knew very well so they were patient.
After a while, Ellery let go of Akimitsu and wiped his tears. "I will be back, so you must take care of yourself and Edros."
"I will, don't worry. We will stay strong, so you and Aster have to as well."
"Thank you, Akimitsu."
After that, Ellery stood in front of Edros and switched with Aster so he could hug him.
When Aster came forth, he was a little shy but still hugged Edros.
Aster was silent, which was normal, but he didn't know what to say to comfort Edros, who liked him a lot.
As for Edros, he couldn't stop talking, "I will wait for you to come back."
Aster nodded, indicating that he understood.
"You have to be strong. It will be painful, but you have to keep pushing forward no matter what. I believe in you even if there are times when you don't believe in yourself. I hope that you will remember my and everyone's voice here to give you strength."
"I understand… thank you, Edros."
If he could, Edros would have buried Aster in his embrace, but he settled on kissing Aster on the side of his head.
"When you come back, allow me to formally pursue you. I hope that we will be lovers one day. If that's okay with you."
"Oh… That's fine. I don't mind."
"Good… I still have to show you my collection."
That piqued Aster's interest. "You also have to see mine."
"It's a promise then, okay?"
Aster left Edros' embrace and gave him a pinky promise. "I promise."
Edros nodded. "I also promise."
After their pinky promise, Ellery switched with Aster and walked inside the room. He turned back once more to say goodbye before walking toward the statue in the center of the room.
The Beast God and Adel walked behind Ellery and closed the door, not allowing Orin, Darya, Akimitsu, or Edros to watch the process.
The Beast God pointed to the area in front of the statue. "Ellery, lay on the ground in front of the statue with your head under the statue and with your feet toward the door."
Ellery did as he was told and lay at the exact spot the Beast God pointed at.
"I will be creating a body that looks similar to your own, but Aster will have white streaks in his hair to match his quantum beast, Lune. Once I am done creating his body, close your eyes, and no matter what, do not look back. Never look behind you."
Ellery nodded his head. "I understand, Beast God."
"Good. Let me get started."
Just as he did in the beginning of civilization in this galaxy, the Beast God stretched out his arms with his palms open to create the first humans that looked similar to his own image.
In the palm of his hands, he poured in his divine energy while taking a feather from his arms, a scale from his neck, and a piece of fur from his tail. Then he closed his hands with all three items and compressed them together until they became one.
Once they became one, a bright light escaped from his hands. Each time he expanded them, the light became brighter, forming a figure of a young man.
When the light subsided, a naked twin of Ellery appeared in front of them. Clothes similar to Ellery's were created to clothe Aster's new body.
Just as the Beast God had said, Aster's new body looked just like Ellery's, but he had white highlights in his reddish-brown hair. The only different thing was the mark of the Beast God that was on Aster's forehead.
"Now that I have finished creating his body, it is time for you to close your eyes, Ellery." The Beast God placed his hand on Ellery's forehead, pouring his divine power into his body.
An identical mark formed on Ellery's forehead, but he could not see it. He could only feel the rush of warm energy enter his body from his head, making him lose consciousness.
